TPO LEAGUE RULES AND REGULATIONS

GENERAL

•         Use these rules as guidelines before contacting admin, if you feel situation is unfair or does not apply to any rules, contact admin and they are to make a ruling on any grey areas.
•          ALL ADMIN HOLDS THE RIGHT TO OVERRIDE ALL RULES, be Respectful to ALL staff. Any intolerance or failure to cooperate can result in suspension or removal from league. 1st violation of rules will result in warning, 2nd violation and you will be subject toosuspension or forfeiture of games, 3rd violation will be subject to removal and potential ban from current and future TPO Seasons. **No Refunds**
•          ALL GAMES MUST BE STREAMED, save past broadcast must be enabled. If you do not, it will significantly count against your argument in controversial situations.
•          League logo must be on the court for every game (SEARCH TPOLEAGUE), If you are on new court make sure TPO is in your name.
•      In order to prevent duplicate posts of screenshots and people trying to play invalid games through matchup chat, we limit access to type in discord league channels to 1 person per team. However, anyone participating in league can request access too a read only version of the channels!
•      All screenshots must be posted in ‘courtroom-screenshots’ channel by the winning team, if the screenshot is not in that channel it will not be uploaded to the site.
•       20 GP for PS5 and 15 GP for XBOX series required for playoffs, teams with best record combined with Strength of Schedule after 15 GP will make the playoffs. Teams are allowed to play each team up to three times during regular season.
•       Hosting: If you feel the need to determine host, this must be agreed upon prior to game. This is a NA East league by default, so games and series will alternate in favor of East. In playoffs/tournaments, better seed has host advantage. In series, hosting will alternate from game to game. If you have issues agreeing on host, contact admin.

• NO HEART CRUSHER on current gen. 
 Any public slander of the league or league staff by any team or player to try and intimidate a ruling or decision is subject to removal from the league .

REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULING

•           All games must be found through the discord LEAGUE matchup chat, all matchups found through here will be automatically assumed league games. Any other means of matching up you MUST clarify that you are playing a TPO game prior to match-up! If you do not have proof of clarification, the game will not count if brought up for dispute.

PLAYOFF/TOURNAMENT SCHEDULING

•           All teams MUST add an admin to a chat with both team owners once game time is confirmed. Once this is done both teams have up to 5 minutes past the scheduled time to start the series. For each minute after the 5-minute grace period, a spread will begin to be enforced on a 1 point per minute basis. If the game time is set for 9:00 ET and you aren’t ready until 9:16 ET, an 11-point spread will be enforced.
•           If you do not start the chat with admin and post the confirmed time, then the game is not scheduled properly and there will be no penalty if a team is late or does not show up. If the game is not played by the deadline then admin has the right to make a decision as they see fit.

 

• All playoff/tournament games will alternate if both teams are on North American servers. Higher seed will always have the option to host Game 1, lower seed Game 2, etc. The final game will be decided off point differential.

 

• Quitting out of any game during a series will result in an automatic forfeit of server for the final game.

 

 

 

ROSTERS

•       All teams are required to list and submit their 6-8-man roster to discord prior to playing first regular season game, failure to do so could result in games not counting or forfeiture. Once roster is submitted to discord, it is locked for the regular season. All teams and rosters will be implemented into the league website, feel free to clarify for yourself and contact league admin with any concerns. 
•       If you play in a game with invalid roster, stats will not be recorded for your team and you will still receive loss. If you won, the game will not count. 
•       To make roster change, list your team name along with who you are adding/dropping (PSN), and post screenshot of fee payment in discord #rosterchanges channel for validation. Roster changes WILL NOT be valid until fees have been payed. 

FEES

•          Roster Change Fee - $5 per player
•          Extra Roster Slot (10 player max) - $5
•          Team Re-brand- $10
.      Ownership Transfer- $10
•      CashApp: $TPOLeague ,  if you need other methods for payment, contact admin

 

USERS/PLAYERS

•           The use of shared/rented accounts other than your own is prohibited.
•       *EXCEPTION*: If you have purchased an account and plan to use it, it must have participated in over 50% of your regular season games.
•       Proof of violation of this will result in forfeiture of game or series. Disrespect and failure to cooperate will not be tolerated from and players.

 

REGULAR SEASON LAGOUTS

•           If a player lags out before tip-off it is an automatic restart. Quit the game and contact the opposing team to match up again.
•           Spreads will not be enforced during regular season. If winning and your teammate lags out, you must quit within 30 seconds of game time if you want to restart the game. If you do not quit out before then, you must finish the game. If losing after the 4:15 mark in the 1st quarter and a teammate lags out, you must play until either 1. The game is finished or 2. You retake the lead and quit out immediately after the basket is made. If you quit out while losing you WILL receive the loss.

PLAYOFF/TOURNAMENT LAGOUTS/SPREAD

•           If a player lags out before tip-off it is an automatic restart. Quit the game and contact the opposing team to match up again.
•           If a player lags out after the 4:15 minute mark in the 1st quarter, the team with player that lagged out must quit out within next 15 seconds of game clock and a spread will be enforced to complete the game. The spread will be the point differential at time first player lagged out. Teams must agree to an amount of remaining time to play the spread induced game. If you cannot agree on a time mark and/or spread, contact admin and we will decide.
If a team has lagged out multiple times (more than once) in the same game they will need to provide proof of lag out if opposing team is requesting .
