MD CLASH- Arbutus Travel Softball 

 

MD CLASH will be offering "Free" indoor winter general skills clinics to anyone interested ages 9-16.  Monday, January 20, 27 February 3, 10, 17 & 24th from 6pm - 7:15pm at the Arbutus Rec Center. You must have your own glove, bat, helmet. No Cleats permitted inside on gym floor.

AGAA SOFTBALL REGISTRATION

 

Open to players born 2011-2002 (age 6 to High School Eligible), registration will be held at the Arbutus Recreation Center on the following dates and times: Thursdays, February13th, 20th & 27th, 6:30pm – 8pm. For the Spring 2020 season is the player's age on December 31, 2019, as shown below and registration costs are as follows:

$75 - 8U - 2011 through 2013     
$85 - 10U - 2009 and 2010     
$95 - *13U - 2006 through 2008 *eligible to play up based on experience 
$95 - 17U - 2002 through 2005

$10 discount for each additional sibling (not applicable with any other discounts (cash or check only). A late registration fee of $15 may be added after the above dates. Evaluations will be held March 28th at Arbutus Elementary School. All games will be held at Kiwanis-Wallis Park in Ellicott City and all age-groups will play on Saturdays; further play days and details will be provided as available. We are actively seeking sponsors, age-group commissioners, trophy and uniform coordinators, field maintenance and coaches. Mandatory Coaching Background Checks

Baltimore County Mandatory Background Screening

Are you interested in Volunteering (Coach, Assistant, and Scorekeeper) or a Council/Board

Baltimore County requires background screening for all recreation and

parks volunteers that work with youth. This screening will be performed by a security

consulting firm SSCI, information about this firm can be found at SSCI2000.com

The cost of screening is FREE to all applicants.

Volunteers will need to enter the access code BCGRec19 on the log-in page above.

SSCI will perform a background screening to check for:

  • Presence on the National Sex Offender Registry
  • First Degree Assault Convictions in the last 5 years
  • Possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute convictions in the last 5 years
  • Indecent Exposure convictions in the last 5 years
  • Financial convictions

If the applicant does not pass screening, SCCI will communicate this failure to them in writing.

For privacy reasons, Baltimore County staff will not have access to failed records or details. Any

concerns regarding accuracy of results can be directed to SCCI directly at 866-996-7412.

Failure to comply with the above mandate could result in loss of the program or councils Parks

 

Recreation Certification.
