Ansonia youth football will be holding our second early sign up Saturday June 15 from 2-4 at the park under the big shelter house. Sign up is open to any Ansonia or MV student in grades 2-6 the cost is 85$ for a new player who needs a jersey and 45$ for returning players who are using their jeresey from last year. We will also have sign ups at the community picnic July 5 and 6. Our last sign up will be the first practice of the season July 22 at 6 pm at the park on the big diamond.


Ansonia youth football will be giving out a scholarship again for any senior football players who played for Ansonia youth football. Forms will be in the school this week. Also registration forms will be going out to Ansonia and MV schools shortly for any student in grade 2-6 for the upcoming season that are interested in playing youth football this fall.


Ansonia youth football is holding our second bingo and raffle to raise money for equipment and other needs of the organization. The bingo is March 2 see any board members for tickets you can also message us on Facebook for tickets.Tickets are 50$ which includes a meal and your bingo cards and also a door prize.Raffle prizes include Cincinnati Reds tickets Dayton Dragons and more.


The Ansonia youth junior varsity and varsity football teams participated in the 2nd annual Lucas Oil Red Zone games at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Indiana,The varsity faced New Prairie, Wawasee,Granger,and North Miami. The junio varsity faced Greensburg, Princeton, Hagerstown, and Fremont. The red zone games were started to give small town teams a chance to live out their dream of playing on a NFL field. Teams played offense for 4 minutes then played defense for 4 minutes. Offense started on the 20 yard line of the red zone which meant running a no huddle offense. Both teams ended the year playing their best football in Indy. The kids got red zone games t-shirts and parents were able to purchase DVDS of the game. The varsity was able to take a tour of the stadium as well. We would like to thank the parents for allowing us to play and the Ansonia American  Legion for their support to be able to make this possible for our teams. We hope to be able to go back next year depending on our schedule. Also keep a eye out for early bird registration papers to be in the Ansonia and MV schools in January any kids in grade 2-6 is eligible to play.


Ansonia youth football will start the CCYFL youth football playoff with a bye and then open the playoffs at home on October 14th. Also we have tentatively scheduled the Hoosier buckeye classic for October 28th. Also we will be returning to the Lucas Oil Red Zone Games on November 4th game times haven’t been announced yet but it will be the best day of the season as the young tigers get to live out their NFL dream 


Ansonia youth football will have its final sign up and first practice Monday July 23 at 6:00 pm at the park on the big diamond. Any boy or girl in grades 2-6 are eligible to play. Cost is 60$ for players who have a jersey and 100$ for anyone who needs a jersey . We want kids to play the game so we will work with parents who need to make payments we don't want anyone not to play because of the fee.hope to see you on the 23rd


we ill be having our last early bird sign up the weekend of June 29-30 and july 1.You can sign up June 29-30 at the game trailers at the Ansonia community picnic or at the shelter house from 2-4 on Sunday July 1.                            Ansonia Youth Football awards scholarships

      Ansonia Youth Football awarded 3 scholarships to members of the graduating class of 2018.

 This years scholarships were awarded to Nathan Denniston,Ayden Sanders,and Cody Sanders. All 3 seniors played important roles on this years Tigers team that reached the OHSAA playoffs this past season. We would like to congratulate them and wish them nothing but success in everything they do in the future


Ansonia youth football was awarded a USA Football equipment grant for the 2018 season. As a result of this grant

we will recieve 8 sets of shoulder pads and 3 sets of pads for pants.We want to thank USA Football for this grant and for supporting and promoting the game of football. Also our next sign up for the 2018 season will be this saturday June 2 at the park registration is open to any Ansonia student in grades 2 - 6 ,


          Dates for the 2018 season have been set by the CCYFL at a recent meeting. Those dates are as follows,coaches meeting July 15 at Miami east, First practice will be July 23.  Weigh in will be August 4th at Bradford there will be no make up date. August 26 is the first weekend of games.


          Ansonia Youth Football J.V and Varsity football players got to live out the dream of playing on a N.F.L field on November 5 by competing in the Red Zone Games at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapoils. This was the first year that the games were held in Indy ,they have been played for years in Dallas at the home of the Dallas Cowboys with the number of teams growing each year causing the Red Zone officials to look at expanding to a second location.The Tigers played teams from Fremont,Tipton,Logansport,and New Praire Indiana.

              Coaches and parents agreed this was a amazing experience for the teams and coaches to play at Lucas Oil Stadium.The players and coaches all received Red Zone Game T-shirts and parents and fans were able to purchase DVD's of the tigers games. Red Zone Game organizers are hoping to make the games at Indy a yearly event and add more teams each year as have in Dallas and theTigers will definitely be back it was a great day for all involved


             Ansonia Youth Football had 4 players participate in the CCYFL pro bowl game at twin valley south high school.

Nick Burns ,Grant Barga,Keegan Weiss, and Hunter Weedman were members of the west division team who won the game over the east division. Congratulations and good luck as you move on to junior high football next year


                  Ansonia youth football varsity  football team played in the western division finals against Arcanum at Tri Village stadium with the tigers coming up short in their bid to make the championship game. This is the third straight year the ti have made the semifinals a run that is the best 3 year run for the program.


                            Ansonia Youth Football was the recipient of a very generous donation made by the Ansonia American

Legion this week.The donation will go towards the purchase of new football jerseys for both teams this season.

This is the second donation received by youth football from the legion,last year we were able to purchase some helmets and received first aide kits through the legion,the sons of the legion and the womens auxillary. Ansonia Youth Football
