Nikki Beale 4-Week Coaching Clinic

Breaking News!  BDGSA is excited to announce it's inaugural winter coaches clinic series.  This coaching program consists of four sessions instructed by Nikki Beale (high level provincial coach and former player) on the following dates:
Saturday January 26th - Hitting Mechanics/Skills and Drills.
Saturday February 16th - Pitching with Tina Andreana - Hitting UNLV style (UPDATED).
Saturday March 30th - Fielding and Throwing and more Hitting Mechanics/Skills/Drills (UPDATED).
Saturday April 13th - Strategy - Coaching kids and the parents - After the three 3 hours sessions, Nikki would get the coaches to provide her all their added questions and go through them in detail.
These sessions will be held at The Warehouse Indoor Training Facility (49 Truman Road, Barrie, Ontario - around the back to the left of the building, halfway down) from 6-9pm and will cost only $40 for the entire program of four sessions (or however many you're able to attend).  Whether you're a seasoned coach or looking to become a coach for the first time, there will be skills and fundamentals training in this program that will add to your existing knowledge or get you started on your way to coaching in the BDGSA.
The BDGSA hopes that this may be the beginning of more coaching programs to come in future.  While it is not mandatory training for this coming season, we strongly advise attending as many sessions as possible to build or strengthen your repertoire of coaching skills.  Please register ASAP to confirm your space.

If you have any questions, please contact Brian Weekes, BDGSA Vice President via email at

We hope to see you this weekend and throughout the entire program.

**New this Year** Register Your Respect in Sport Certification Number

Please be advised that you are required to complete and register your Respect in Sport Certification Number at by May 1, 2019.  Failure to do so will result in delays in participation and team placement for the 2019 season.

Player/Parent need to complete:

Head Coaches/Assistant Coaches need to complete:

PWSA has introduced this requirement to attempt to mitigate some of the disturbing behaviors that are becoming all too prominent in our sport.  We also wish to mitigate liability for the leagues, coaches and all other volunteers who give so much of their time to our athletes.  Athletes in the Women’s Open and Intermediate II divisions must complete the “Parent/Player Program”.

Coaches must complete the Activity Leader program – cost $30.00 – there is not a Code for a discount. PWSA has already negotiated a discounted rate for you. If you are a parent coach then you do not need to take the family program. However, we do require your partner/spouse to take along with your child.

Parents and the players will take the “Parent/Player program” and the $12.00 fee allows both parents and the children to take the course.  Please note – we encourage the parent to complete the program with the child.
If you have taken this course for any other sport or group, you can provide your certificate number without having to take the course again.  This course is valid regardless of the sport.

Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent Street Barrie) on Saturday from 1-4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 1 o’clock p.m. with visitation from 12 p.m. Memorial donations to Seasons Centre for Grieving Children would be appreciated. Messages of condolence may be forwarded through

Our deepest sympathies to Kristine, Victoria, Katie and the rest of Travis' family at this time.
