BIG SKY HOOPS WAS FORMED IN 2006 AS A NON PROFIT GIRLS BASKETBALL CLUB TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITYS FOR GIRLS & BOYS TRAVEL TEAMS TO PARTICIPATE IN AAU AND CERTIFIED COLLEGE COACHES VIEWING TOURNAMENTS AS WELL AS PROVIDE OPPORTUNITYS FOR GRADE SCHOOL, JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL BOYS AND GIRLS TO PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS.

ITS MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF BASKETBALL IN MONTANA BY PROVIDING QUALITY TOURNAMENTS AND BY GIVING PLAYERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY AGAINST TOP QUALITY BASKETBALL CLUB AND AAU TEAMS FROM THROUGHOUT THE NATION.

BIG SKY HOOPS MISSION IS TO SECURE COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ALL PLAYERS INVOLVED IN ITS PROGRAM. IN ADDITION IT WILL STRIVE TO IMPROVE THE SKILL LEVEL OF EACH PLAYER INVOLVED IN ITS PROGRAM AND RETURN EACH PLAYER TO THEIR HIGH SCHOOL AS A MORE EXPERIENCED PLAYER THROUGH COMPETATIVE TOURNAMENT PLAY.

IN 2006 AND 2007 THE BIG SKY HOOPS TEAM WAS COACHED BY LISA TINKLE AND BILL HILL. THIS PAST SUMMER BIG SKY HOOPS WAS SPLIT INTO TWO TEAMS WHO WERE COACHED BY MARK ALBERT OF HAMILTON AND BILL HILL OF ANACONDA.

THESE TEAMS TRAVELED THIS PAST SPRING AND SUMMER TO VARIOUS HIGH PROFILE TOURNAMENTS IN PHEONIX ARIZONA, LAS VEGAS NEVADA, PORTLAND OREGON, SEATTLE WASHINGTON, RENO NEVADA, LOS ANGLES CALIFORNIA, AND SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA.
