Who is BRSC?

Braden River Soccer Club (BRSC) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization serving approximately 1,500 boys and girls in the Manatee County area. BRSC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that is supported by many volunteer committee members and coaches. The Club provides a professional staff that train players in technical and tactical aspects of the game and strength and speed training.

Last year, BRSC rostered approximately 75 developmental teams (recreational level) in age groups from ages 4 to 18 as well as 38 competitive teams in age groups from 8 to 19 years old. The goal of BRSC is for every child to experience the sport of soccer in a positive and supportive environment at the level of play they enjoy.

Braden River Soccer Club is located in beautiful Lakewood Ranch/Bradenton, Florida.  Minutes from world class shopping, fine dining, championship golf courses, the beaches, and located just off Interstate 75, our location (Lakewood Ranch Park, 5490 Lakewood Ranch Blvd) is second to none.  Our soccer complex sits on 42 acres and boasts some of the nicest fields in all of Florida.

The Mission of Braden River Soccer Club's Recreational Program is to promote soccer in Bradenton/Sarasota areas by providing a quality training environment for our youth, our coaches and our referees to participate in. To develop and enjoy the game of soccer, and provide everyone with the necessary skills and values to succeed both on and off the field.

This mission is based on the philosophy of achieving excellence in the game of soccer by promoting the physical development, mental growth, and moral character of its participants all while strengthening the love of soccer.

What is Recreational Soccer?

Recreational soccer is that soccer program that is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high-level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game.

What is a Recreational Player? A player who is randomly assigned to a team without regard to his/her abilities and skills.

What are Recreational Teams? Teams formed randomly to play soccer.

What is a Recreational League? A league composed of teams formed in a random manner.
