2019 Bulldog Battle

The weather for the 2019 Bulldog Battle was just perfect (for once!).  The boys took advantage of that and shot some great scores! As usual WingHaven CC provided a fantastic venue for the tournament and the staff had everything set up really well.   The field continues to include some of the top teams and players in St. Louis and around the state.   The individual title was won by Max Kreikemeier (Lafayette) with a 69 (-3), which was only 2 shots clear of two different players.  Freshman Ian Blome (CBC) and Sophomore Braden Hoisington (FZW) both shot 71 (-1).  I'm sure both these players will look to add an individual title in the future.  Chaminade took the team title with a very strong score of 297.  This was especially impressive since all 4 scores counted.  Marquette took second with 309 and CBC third with a 313.  The entire 2019 team results can be found by clicking on the "PAGES" tab above.

Tournament Purpose

The Bulldog Battle at WingHaven was created in order for high school players to gain experience for the Missouri State Championship Tournament. We try to create the same atmosphere during our event that players will experience at State. This includes using starters on the first tee to announce each player, having key handouts for players such as a Notice To Competitors and Pin Sheets, and using highly qualified USGA rules officials to help the players make proper rulings as well as keep the official watch on Pace of Play.
