ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - The Cannons (2-1) defeated the Shockers (1-4) by the score of 11-6 on Sunday morning, May 19, at a cold and damp Brent Mayne Field. BOX SCORE

Danny Hodges went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored while Josh Zavislan (8.0 IP, 13 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 3 BB, 8 K; now 1-1) earned the victory.

Michael Smith (walk, HBP) went 3-for-3 with three RBI and reach base in each of his five plate appearances. Z went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI and John Bode (1-for-3Jacob Maupin, SB) scored three runs.

Donnie Greenfield and Ted Jimenez (two doubles, two runs, RBI) both went 2-for-5, and Billy Settlemire crossed the plate twice. Mike Allgire (RBI) and Jeff Duggan scored one run apiece, and Kyle Way drew a pair of walks. Settlemire also tossed a scoreless ninth inning, fanning two, in relief of Z.

Hodges and Jimenez turned three double plays during a game in which both teams stranded 12 runners on base.

The Cannons will play the Braves on Sunday afternoon, June 2, at 4pm at Northfield High School.
