CT Knights Basketball Mentoring/tutoring Program

The CT Knights started in 2003. The program started with an idea to teach kids the proper fundamentals, Team unity, Team spirit, to respect each other, to build friendships, to help develop better student athlete and to have fun.

(Ages 9yrs to 14yrs old)
The AAU/YBOA program is to introduce young kids to fundamental basketball, basketball tournaments, travel, team unity, to bring young kids together fromdifferent towns, schools, ethnic backgrounds to play together for one common goal, to play basketball and compete together, learn together, grow fron one another and to have fun together.

(Ages 15yrs to 18yrs old)
The AAU/YBOA program for the older kids is to introduce the kids to National Basketball tournaments, top clinics, camps, college coaches, recruitment process and College preperation. To help kids gain sports scholarships, academic scholarships and to give them exposure to college coaches.

The CT Knights Mentoring and Tutoring program was established in 2008 with the idea to assist our youth in basic academics, english, math, reading, writing and language arts. We feel sports is very important in our kids growth, but it is very important to have a good understanding of the fundamentals in academics as well. Teaching our youth the importance of a good solid education is a great balance in their lives. With basketball as our tool we assist with homework club, reading assistance, Math and english understanding, problem solving and task managment. The Mentoring program takes on the kids where they are in thier lives, and through sports, leadership and self worth the mentoring program assists kids to have better self esteem, pride, continued growth and confidence in there work, there abilities and self worth.

                                                 CT Knights Tryouts/Work Outs
To everyone who tried out we want to thank you for learning more about our Family/program. We hope you truly learned some new skills during our station work outs and team drills. We started with fundamentals and ended with teaching fundamentals.

Our program is not designed to just roll the ball out and let you play. We want to build up your skills, teach each player new skills, improve all aspects of each players game. Continue to grow on and off the court "Hit the Books" if you cant make it in the class room you will not make it in ANY Sport or anything you do in life.

Challenge your self to be better, push yourself to do better and reach farther and you will get there.
