*New Dunham Park Softball Divisions*

(as voted on at 1/21/2026 Board Meeting)

Registration for all Divisions should be based on grade level of player at start of season.

• Spring/Summer Season - Grade level of player in April/May (End of current school year)
• Fall Season - Grade level of player in September (Start of new school year)

Pee Wee - Current Grades K-2nd

• 11-inch “soft” ball; same rules as before
• Coach pitch / Tee
• Learn basic skills, build confidence, develop a love for softball.
  
• Division rules support preparation for Rookie Division

Rookie - Current Grades 3-5th

• Fast-pitch, 11-inch ball
• Pitching mound from 35 ft
• Beginning of competitive play, Build fundamental skills, Lead-offs, stealing bases
  
• Division rules support 10u player development

Minors - Current Grades 6-8th

• Fast-pitch, 12-inch ball
• Pitching mound from 40 ft
• Stealing home, Dropped third strike
• Division supports player development for high school 

Majors - Current High School

• Fast-pitch, 12-inch ball
• Pitching mound from 43 ft
• High school rules adapted for fun, competition and safety
