1. Bethel B (4-1) – This team looks very dominant. Ball smovement and players getting hot at the right time (Joon Son is shooting .500 from the 3 point stripe) has this team at the top.  

2. Bethel A (4-1) – Beat a limping Philippi B team this past Sunday. With that win they have clinched a first round bye for the playoffs. Will get another tuneup game against Calvary Vineyard.

3. Philippi A (3-2) – Bumped up one spot in the power rankings. They are cruising right now. Andy Kim dropped a monster line (18p, 14r, 3stl, 2 blk). If he continues his play they will be a scary team going into the playoffs. 

4. Philippi B (3-2) – 2nd loss in two weeks is crippling. Can they pickup their season this Saturday against top seed Bethel B? Chris Fox will need to be aggressive for any chance at victory. 

5. Garden (1-4) – Worst loss of the season for Garden. They are really looking to build some momentum going into playoffs. 

6. Calvary (0-5) – Had a tough matchup against Bethel A. Can they put together 40 minutes of solid basketball to pick up their first win of the season?

1. Bethel B (3-1) – Played well in spurts. This is going to be a scary team going into the playoffs. Had 18 assists on 18 buckets made. Spur-like and unselfish basketball. Shots have been distributed fairly evenly. 

2. Bethel A (3-1) – Won comfortably against Calvary Vineyard. Opened the game on a 10-0 run and started the second half with another large run. We will have a better sense of this team's ceiling after next week's game against Philippi B.

3. Philippi B (3-1) – Dropped two spots because they lost to Philippi A. The last game was really rough. They had 26 turnovers and scored 29 points. Absolutely dreadful. Still only 1 of 3 teams in the league with a positive point differential. Big game next week against Bethel A.

4. Philippi A (2-2) – March Madness? April Fools? Philippi picked up a huge rivalry win over Philippi A. Can they use this momentum to finish the season with two wins going into playoffs? *PSA: Simon Lee has been forced into retirement by Tommy "Gravedigger" Fox.

5. Garden (1-3) – Dropped a tough game to Bethel B. They got a lot of good looks throughout the whole game but shots just weren't falling. Will need to shore up the defense to pick up some wins. Garden leads the league in points scored against.

6. Calvary (0-4) – Lost to a very good Bethel A team this past week. Will need to find a way to score more points to win some games. Currently have the lowest points scored. Defensively they have been doing a solid job ranking 4th. They have another tough matchup with Bethel A this coming week.

1. Philippi B (3-0) – Road to perfection hasn’t been easy, won two close games against Garden and Bethel B.

2. Bethel A (2-1) – Only loss came when 3 starters were out. Time will tell how this 30+ team holds up over the course of the season.

3. Bethel B (2-1) – This team easily has the highest ceiling. Can they figure out chemistry issues before the playoffs?

4. Garden (1-2) – Much improved. Was up on Philippi B in the second half

5. Philippi A (1-2) – Taking L’s. Managed a hard fought win over Calvary week 3.

6. Calvary (0-3) – They have hung tough in every game. Substantial improvement

1st Team All-FBL

Ricky Kim (Bethel A) - 16.3 PPG, .475 FG%, 3.3 SPG, 6.7 RPG

Old timer Ricky burst onto the scene with a 25 outburst against Bethel B with shorthanded Bethel A team despite pulling his hamstring in the first half. Offensively he gets into the paint at will and defensively he intimidates opposing ball handlers. The Benjamin Button of basketball, all opponents take heed. Don’t jump young bloods.

Chris Fox (Philippi B) - 16.3 PPG, .514 FG%, 1 SPG, 11.3 RPG, 2 APG

He is leading the league in scoring and rebounds with the highest field goal percentage among all eligible players (35 shots and over… Sorry James Choi and Jason Sim). It is not a surprise that Philippi B is currently undefeated and on top of the league.

Brian Shim (Garden) - 15.7 PPG, .437 FG%

Brian “The beard” Shim has been an absolute beast for Garden this season. He can put up a shot in any situation with his balls often kissing glass before dropping through the net. Garden is tough to keep up with when his shots are falling.

Brian Pak (Bethel B) - 14.7 PPG, .444 FG%, 1.6 SPG, 1.3 APG

There were many questions surrounding the hyped Bethel B Super team. Brian has stepped up this season and led his team in scoring. He terrorizes zone defenses with his quick jumpers and punishes foulers with his 85% free throw shooting (not too shabby.. why can’t you do that in tournaments?).

Tommy Fox (Philippi A) - 11.3 PPG, .448 FG%, 9.7 RPG, 1.7 BPG, 1.7 SPG

Second in the league in rebounding and first in blocks, Tommy “Fire” Fox has been doing it all so far this season. When he’s out of the game his team struggles. You can find him at Lifetime Gym late on Thursday nights putting in work to lift his team to new heights.

2nd Team All-FBL

Peter Yoo (Garden) - 8.3 PPG, .321 FG%, 4.3 SPG, 3.3 APG

Speedy is leading the league in steals and assists. Has done a good job running Garden’s offense as well as playing the top of Garden’s 1-3-1 zone.

Chae Lee (Bethel A) - 11.5 PPG, .364 FG%, 2.0 APG

Solid play so far. The FBL committee determined he deserved a 2^nd team bid. Pretty amazing considering that he’s playing on two permanently broken ankles.

Joon Son (Bethel B) - 11.3 PPG, .370 FG%, 9.0 RPG, 2.0 SPG

Stepped up his free throw shooting this season and has played big. Hit a game winning three over Bethel A in week 3.

Dylan Debates (Philippi B) - 11.3 PPG, .429 FG%, 2.7 SPG

Has been on fire so far. His shooting has been lights out from all over the court. Could this be Dylan’s breakout year and rise to fame?

Daniel Bae (Calvary Vineyard) - 11.0 PPG, .378 FG%, 2.3 SPG, 5.3 RPG

Leading Calvary Vineyard in almost all categories. His intense stare and yells motivate his teammates with upmost conviction.

3rd Team All-FBL

Justin Jon (Bethel B) - 9.0 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 2.7 APG, 2.3 SPG

Rookie campaign started off pretty cruddy. Play has picked up quite considerably the past two weeks.

Isack Lee (Bethel A) - 9.0 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 3.0 APG

            What kind of big man averages 3 assists per game? Jokic/Gasol – like.

Chris Lee (Calvary Vineyard) - 8.3 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 1.7 APG, 2.6 SPG

            Wow. Meaning wow factor. Explosive dynamite in one body.

Andy Kim (Philippi A) - 7.7 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 1.0 SPG, 1.0 APG

Has played very aggressive which has helped his team. Crossovers “ooh” the crowd but can he do something after them?

James Huh (Philippi B) - 6.7 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 1.3 SPG

            Shook off a poor shooting week 1. Anchor on Phillipi B’s undefeated squad

Garden Presbyterian Church:

Garden returns almost the exact same squad as last season. The only difference is Pastor Brian Shim and Jason Sim is playing this season and Seong Lee and David Lim is not. Pastor Brian Shim has big game with the ability to score at will... well at least when he's not complaining about his sore legs. Jason Sim is an absolute double double machine. Grabbing boards is not a problem with those monkey arms of his. He's streaky putting the ball in the bucket and his play will be instrumental in Garden's success. Shedding his title of Quickest water boy ever, Peter Yoo got a lot of buckets scoring over 14 points in 4 out of 7 games last year. It'll be interesting to see what hair style he sports.. Many believe that his hair was the sole reason for finishing second in the league in free throws taken last season. Second leading scorer aka David "Robin" Song (9.0 PPG) has been spotting working on his game. Despite the fact that he wears the same green socks and shoes every game he provides hustle to this team. After collecting some ankles last season, Tim Hahn returns this season with a semester of college under his belt. That means countless hours at the ERC shooting airballs. All jokes aside he provides basketball IQ and guard play to this team. Arnold Park had a season to forget. There are not many players that can shoot with much so much confidence even though his player icon circle is clearly blue. He will bounce back this season without a doubt. Pat Han is a guy you hate playing against but love having on your team. Raise your hand if you've been hit by a pick from Pat. He does it all on the court and plays a crucial role for this team. Daniel Lee and Dee Kim have both continued to improve this off season. They didn't contribute much to the box score last season but that will change. The most eligible bachelor Joe Jung returns this season. Don't let his pretty face fool you, he will shoot the ball if you tell him to!

Prediction:

Garden has been practicing during the off season while everyone has been bumming around. Despite the lack of size on this team, their guard play and team chemistry will be enough to bring this team to next level

Regular Season 3-3

Calvary Vineyard:

After picking up their first win in league history, Calvary Vineyard is looking to make some noise this season. Leading scorer Hogan Byun returns this season after leading his team in 3s made. Daniel "Sassy" Bae is the glue to this team with his scrappy defense (1 SPG) and team high assists (2.0 APG). Sam Chun was absolutely unstoppable with his mid-range jumper last season. We look forward to see what he's been cooking up in the lab. Pastor Sung Chung is making his league debut this season and it'll be interesting how he'll fit in with the team. Other names that didn't play last season include Jason Lim, James Park, Joe Kim, David Choi. James Park and young buck David Choi will both provide some rebounding power which should hopefully make them a better team. Calvary Vineyard didn't have a single player in the top 10 for rebounds. Returning rebounding specialist James Kim lead the team last season with (5.8 RPG). It'll be interesting to see how a healthy Alex Yoo will help this Calvary Vineyard squad. Alex played in 6 games last season but was severely handicapped. He's was a player that was marked for a DNP Inactive for every game and played anyways. I will never forget Chris Lee behind the head pass to a since retired Joe Pak two seasons ago. He finished with a disappointing (4.8 RPG) last season and looks to bounce back. Floor General Eric Lim leads the team in LMP. What is that you ask? Least minutes played. He leads his team with his absolute unselfishness and willingness to put his team first. Zack Han had a big game last season during their first win. He scored 5 points that game hitting a trey while pulling down 4 boards.

Prediction:

This team has the home court advantage in every game they play. They boast the largest traveling fan base in all of FBL despite their distance from Phillipi. Calvary Vineyard hustles every game no matter the score. With a returning core group of players with growing chemistry, I think they will surprise a lot of people and pull out some games.
