SOFTBALL - Little League, Penninsula League, and T-Ball

Fair Haven Softball is part of Little League International 

Fair Haven is a member of Two River Little League Baseball & Softball ("TRLL"), along with Rumson, Little Silver, Red Bank, and Shrewsbury, formed in 2014.  TRLL is part of Little League International. 

Fair Haven Recreation also offers a T-Ball program for Pre-K (5 years old) and Kindergartners and introductory competitive softball programs for 1st grade. If your son is looking to play baseball please visit fairhavenbaseball.com for information and to register.

Key 2022 Dates

o    On-Line Registration Jan 5 - Feb 4.  A Late Fee will be imposed on all registrations received after Februarty 4th.  

o    Pre-Season practice for 2^nd grade & up begins April (depending on the weather).

o    Pre-Season Clinics will be held on March 19th and March 26th at Sportsman Field.  Separate sign-up to come once registration closes. 

o    Regular season runs April through early June

o    T Ball will start in April - more information to follow - games are usually Sat AM  (estimate)

o    Softball Season opens in April, exact date TBD

o    Fair Haven Baseball/Softball Parade & Community Event date and time TBD

o    Coaches - Team Selection & Safety Review Meeting - Date TBD

o    Coaches (new) - Rutgers SAFETY certification meeting, information will be provided

TEE BALL

PreK-Kindergarten Tee Ball -   A clinic/instructional league which emphasizes fun, involvement and softball fundamentals. This program meets for one hour on Saturday mornings from April through May.  

Grade 1

Similar to Tee Ball the girls will meet for one hour on Saturdays in the afternoon from April to June and work on the fundamentals of softball with an emphasis on fun.  They will be playing other towns this year with a clinic setting for first half hour and a game the second half hour in an effort to get them more hands on time.

Intertown Softball League for Second & Third Grade - an intertown league for girls in 2nd and 3rd grade, (grades 2 & 3 will play on a combined team), with a focus on learning the fundamentals of softball.  There is one practice and one game per week.  Games are anticipated to be 75 minutes.

LITTLE LEAGUE (Softball), 4^th grade and up

 an intertown league for girls in 4th and 5th grade, (grades 4 &5 will play on a combined team), with a focus on learning the fundamentals of softball.  There is one practice and one game per week.  Games are anticipated to be 75 minutes.

TRLL SOFTBALL

Little League Softball (4th or 5th Grade) - an intertown league for girls, who are in 4th and 5th, who wish to learn/improve upon the fundamentals of softball and compete in Little League.  The teams will have two time slots per week for practice and games. 

Little League Softball (6th or 7th Grade) - an intertown league for girls, who are in 6th and 7th grade, who wish to play in a competitive league.  Teams will have two or three time slots per week for practice and games.  Depending on registration numbers, teams may be combined with Rumson.
