All Games that were snowed out on 1/25 have been Rescheduled!

Boys 3rd/4th Grade games from 1/25 have been rescheduled on 2/15, so NO GAMES ON 2/8 FOR 3rd/4th GRADE BOYS!!

All Boys 3rd/4th Grade playoffs will be played on 3/1, so some teams may have 2 playoff games that day.

All other games from 1/25 have been rescheduled on 2/8.

Schedules on the website have been updated and finalized for all teams. 

ALL GAMES SCHEDULED FOR 1/25 ARE CANCELLED!

Those games will be rescheduled on 2/8 or 2/15.

Playoff Weeks will now be 2/15 & 3/1

For playoffs, every team will be in a 3-4 team bracket based on records and strength of schedule.   Each team will have at least one game in one of those two weeks and possibly 2 games.

Here are the future game Dates:  12/7, 12/21, 12/28, 1/04, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15

Snow Dates:  3/1, 3/8 

After the first two weeks of games, the league coordinator will work with coaches to design the remaining schedule with the goal of maintaining competitive games and eliminating blowouts. The schedule for the remainder of the regular season will be posted by 12/14.

Admission Fees:

Adults - $3

Students - $1

Players - No Charge

Only 2 Coaches and 1 scorekeeper/clock operator are allowed on the sideline but MUST sign in to receive FREE ENTRY.

Gettysburg Venue - All spectators are to view games from the 2nd-floor track - bring chairs if necessary.

Northern Venue - No chairs needed - Bleachers are available.  No Spectators allowed on the baselines or behind the team benches.

Please be aware of our ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY! 

This policy applies to all coaches, players, parents, spectators, and other supporters and referees effective immediately. Abusive and obscene language, violent play/conduct, fighting, and other unsportsmanlike behavior (including, but not limited to sarcasm, taunting, etc.) deemed detrimental to the game between the above-mentioned groups will not be tolerated.  Violators of this policy will be immediately removed from the facility and banned indefinitely from future events.

Errors have been found in the schedule, so some games have been moved around.   This may continue until the coaches' meeting.

All 72 registered teams have been listed on the website.  

A league-wide email invite with the Zoom meeting link HAS BEEN SENT.  If you did not receive an email, please contact Rick Keller ASAP at RickAKellerJr@gmail.com

This is a MANDATORY coaches meeting.  Every team must have at least one representative in attendance.  Failure to attend this meeting and any subsequent violation of league rules could result in the removal of that team or program.

Welcome to the Gettysburg Youth Basketball League!

Are you a passionate coach looking for an exceptional basketball league to enter your teams into? Look no further! The Gettysburg Youth Basketball League is thrilled to invite you to be a part of our exciting basketball journey for the 2025-2026 basketball season. Our league is dedicated to providing a positive and competitive experience for young athletes in grades 3 through 6, with separate divisions for boys and girls.

League Highlights:

1. Certified Officials: Our games are officiated by certified referees, ensuring fair and unbiased gameplay, allowing players to focus on their skills and sportsmanship.

2. Spectator Viewing Area: Enjoy an excellent vantage point from our second-floor spectator viewing area. Cheer on your teams and witness the future basketball stars in action!

3. Concession Stand: Stay refreshed and energized throughout the games with our fully stocked concession stand. We offer a variety of delicious snacks and beverages to keep everyone fueled for the excitement on the court.

4. Competitive Balance: After the first few games, if there is any competitive imbalance, the league coordinator will work with coaches to design the remaining schedule with the goal of maintaining competitive games and eliminating blowouts.

Game Schedule:

The games take place on Sundays, from December through February, providing an excellent opportunity for your young athletes to showcase their talents and grow their love for the game throughout the winter months. At the end of the season, we have thrilling playoffs, giving players the chance to experience the intensity of high-stakes basketball.

We are entering our final week at Gettysburg Youth League - Championship week!   Congratulations to all the teams who have qualified!

For the teams who finished their season last week, we hope that you enjoyed the journey of this 2024/2025 basketball season.  For all 6th graders, we wish you luck next year in middle school basketball, and for all others, we hope to see you back next year!

The brackets have all been updated in the Bracket Team app.

Medal-winning team's coaches, please come to the coaches' sign in table with your player count to receive your medals. 

The Gettysburg Youth League backdrop will be at the end of the 1st floor hallway past the elevator like last week.  Please be patient and orderly as there will be up to 6 teams after each hour of games looking to get team photos with their medals.

All Brackets have been updated based on final standings except for 3/4th grade girls who will have regular season games to complete on 2/16 and will then play up to 2 games on Championship Weekend 2/23.

Please note that games on 2/16 start at 8am with the last games starting at 4pm.

Some 3rd/4th grade Girl's teams will not have a game on 2/9 or 2/16.   Please check your schedule!!

Some Playoff Teams will have a bye on 2/16 with ALL championships games being played on 2/23.

Starting 12/8/24

The rules have changed for 3/4th grade regarding Foul Shots.  

Players will shoot foul shots 3 feet inside the foul line and momentum may carry them forward.

There are no markings on the court so officials will give their best estimate as to the spot.

Reminder:

Winning coaches are required to send the team name, grade and score of the game to Rick Keller at RickAKellerJr@gmail.com or 717 515 4671 immediately following the game.

Playoff Brackets will be updated after the last regular season games are completed and scores are reported.

The schedule for each division on 3/3 is as follows:

Boys 5/6 Division games will be played at 10am, 12pm, & 2pm.

Boys 4/5 Division games will be played at 11am & 1pm.

Boys 3/4 Division games will be played at 11am, 1pm, 2pm, & 4pm.

Girls 5/6 Division games will be played at 2pm, 3pm, & 5pm.

Girls 3/4 Division games will be played at 4pm & 5pm.

Playoffs are on Sunday, March 3rd!  The schedule will be posted by Monday, February 26th. 

There will be multiple playoff brackets of no more than 4 teams per bracket.  1st and 2nd place teams in each bracket will receive medals.

If we have a cancellation due to weather, then March 3rd will be the makeup day and March 10th will be playoffs (schedule would be posted by Monday, March 4th).

The regular season schedule is now up!  We are not having games on 2/11 because it is Super Bowl Sunday.

We have some 3/4th grade teams playing against higher grade level teams.   In those games, the 3/4 grade league rules apply to that particular game.  Please review the league rules for clarity.  Thank you and Happy Holidays!
