On 12/9/15 Wells contributed 11 points, 4 assists and 3 steals in a blowout win over Great Lakes Christian.
Class of 2014 PHILIP FRENTSOS (ASHLAND) - HAD 2 GOOD GAMES OFF THE BENCH FOR ASHLAND WHO HAS STARTED 2-0, ONE OF THOSE WINS BEING A WIN OVER THE #8 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY (INDIANAPOLIS). HAD 13 POINTS OFF THE BENCH IN A WIN OVER SILVER LAKE ON 11/20. AS OF 11/30, ASHLAND IS 5-0. ON 12/3/15 FRENTSOS PLAYED 6 MINUTES IN A 76-72 ASHLAND OVERTIME WIN AT GRAND VALLEY STATE.
On 12/5/15 Ashland knocked off previously unbeaten and #13th ranked Ferris St. on the road. Ashland remains unbeaten.
On 12/9/15 Frentsos played 5 minutes in another ASHLAND victory over Hillsdale. Ashland is now one of the top ranked D2 teams in the country and remains unbeaten.
Class of 2014 ALEX STEVENS (OHIO DOMINICAN) - ODU HAS STARTED THE SEASON OFF 2-0 INCLUDING A WIN ON BUZZER BEATER SAT. NIGHT. 11/21/15 STEVENS CONTRIBUTED A CAREER HIGH 8 REBOUNDS OFF THE BENCH IN A WIN OVER SILVER LAKE. ON 11/28, PLAYED 12 MINUTES AND HAD 4 POINTS AND 3 REBOUNDS IN A 77-70 LOSS TO ILLINOIS-SPRINGFIELD.

ON 11/21 PLAYED 14 MINUTES AND HAULED IN 2 REBOUNDS IN A LOSS TO ILINOIS WESLEYAN. ON 11/22 SCORED 6 POINTS AND PULLED DOWN 3 REBOUNDS IN A 72-64 WIN OVER FONTBONNE. ON 11/29, HECKER HAD A CAREER HIGH 13 POINTS IN A CAREER HIGH 26 MINUTES IN A 87-85 OVERTIME LOSS.
IN A 79-67 LOSS TO CAPITAL ON 12/2/15, HECKER PLAYED 16 MINUTES AND RECORDED 6 REBOUNDS AND 6 POINTS.

CITY COUNCIL HONORS BOY'S BASKETBALL TEAM
MAYOR RIGGLE AND THE DELAWARE CITY COUNCIL HONORED THE 2014 HAYES BOY'S BASKETBALL TEAM FOR THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS THIS PAST SEASON ON MONDAY AT THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING. THE TEAM SET SCHOOL RECORDS BY WINNING 14 GAMES IN A ROW AS WELL AS 21 GAMES ON THE SEASON.

HAYES WINS OCC TITLE

Jacob Bosiokovic, a 2012 Delaware Hayes graduate, is finding his niche at Ohio State. Bosiokovic has been a mainstay in the Buckeyes lineup, playing third base and batting 5th. Jacob was a four year starter and all conference performer at Hayes in both basketball and baseball. He is currently third on the Bucks in batting avg (.287) and is tied for the team lead in HR's (4) and RBI (31).

Former Hayes Basketball Hoopster Now A Top Collegiate Player
It has been a long road for Calvin Edwards, but all the hard work he has put into basketball paid off last season at Clarion University.
Edwards, a 2008 graduate of Delaware Hayes High School, was an all-district in Division I as a senior when he averaged 13.1 points for the Pacers. He was the third-leading scorer at Clarion in 2012, as the Golden Eagles went 15-13 overall and 11-11 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-West Division. Clarion competes in NCAA Division II. Coach Blackburn considers Edwards "one of the most relentless workers" he has coached.

~Hayes Junior Point Guard Michael Wells has been named one of five players named to the Division 1 1st Team All-Central District Basketball team. Wells set a Delaware Hayes basketball single game scoring record this season by scoring 38 points on December 17th in a 66-59 victory over District Champion Reynoldsburg.
