WHAT IS BIL?

HFL BIL is a recreational basketball league sponsored by HFL Community Programs. Our focus is on learning the basics while having fun and getting exercise with a bunch of friends! If you are new to basketball or want to play in a league that is not a big time commitment and is non-competitive, BIL is the league for you!

Teams: BIL offers combined teams for Grades 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, and 9-12. New for 2025/2026, we will be trialing a separate Girls league for Grades 3/4. If there are enough girls for the other Grades, we can look at a separate Girls league for them as well. For any Grades, if there are less than 20 players we may not be able to proceed.

Season: There will be one or two practices OR games per week from January through mid-March. Games and practices will be held in the gymnasium at Lima Primary, Manor School, or the Middle School, and are typically Monday through Friday.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO COACH OR ASSISTANT COACH AT ALL LEVELS

High school teams must have an adult who is willing to chaperone the team.

• Varsity and JV players are not allowed to play during the HFL season. They can join when their seasons are over.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR ADULT VOLUNTEERS TO HELP RUN THE LEAGUE. Mainly distributing information to the individual divisions. Schedule changes, weather alerts, etc.

If you have any questions in the meantime please email us at hflcsd.bil@gmail.com

Thank you!
