Welcome To The Home Of The

Dear Hawks Families-

I hope that this message reaches all of you and your families both safe and healthy.  At this time of year we are normally in the final stages of planning for our upcoming season.  Unfortunately, this year, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic that turned our lives upside down, we have been in a holding pattern while we await guidance from our state and local leaders as to the fate of our 2020 season.  As most of you know, our registration usually opens up during the March/April time of year.  Obviously, that was not the proper time to be concerned with football or cheer, with all of the other issues that our families and our community members were, and in many cases still confronted with.

That being said, based on recent guidance the HFCA is hopeful that we will have a season this year although there are still a few unknowns.  Youth sports have been given the go ahead to resume on June 22 with no contact and a tentative date of July 23 or August 1 for full contact sports like football.  These are all the steps in the right direction that we need to see.  Being that we are hopeful, we have opened registration so that we can begin to speedily prepare for the best case scenario which would allow for us to play a full season.  Please note the following:

  • We will not be accepting fees at the time of registration
  • Registration fees will be collected once we receive further guidance on finalized details from health officials giving us a final approval to proceed with the season

Please be assured that the HFCA has always and will continue to be committed to the health and safety of all of our players and cheerleaders and intends to fully comply with any and all guidance concerning health that we receive from health officials.  As per state mandate, our organization will be creating a health and safety plan which we will present to the Borough of Hillsdale for approval.

Despite all of the challenges, the HFCA is looking forward to a great 2020 season with all of our athletes and their families.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at any time.

Thank you and stay healthy,

Steve Regula
