The Indiana Elite Venom (2022) Take Bull By The Horns During First Open Recruiting Period

The Indiana Elite Venom (2022) ended the first July Open Recruiting Period on July 10, 2021, at the Adidas Gauntlet Gold in Mansfield, Texas. The Venom finished the weekend with a record of 3-1, losing the opening game by two points to Pure Prep 17U. The Venom is coming off a Run 4 Roses Gold Division Championship on July 8, 2021, finishing the tournament with a record of 5-1, with the only loss being a two point loss to the Platinum Division Champions, the Bay State Jaguars Gold.
In a period of high stress and desire to catch the eye of a college coach, six of the players decided to try a Texas tradition, THE MECHANICAL BULL, while visiting the Stockyards. Colleges with Rodeo teams looking for cowgirls should check out the highlights below. Click on the name to check out the bull riding highlights for each player.
Two players from the Indiana Elite Venom (2022) were selected to participate in the 13th Annual Indiana Class Basketball All-Star Classic. The Indiana Class Basketball All-Star Classic features some of the top players in the State of Indiana. The Junior Game is scheduled to be held on June 19, 2021, at Anderson University, Anderson, Indiana.
Diana Burgher 6'0" Wing/Forward, North Harrison High School (2022)
Diana's selection for the 2021 Class Basketball All-Star Classic is her third time being selected to participate in the game. Diana scored fifteen (15) points and had six (6) rebounds in the White team's 81-74 victory in the 2019 game. Diana was selected as the Most Outstanding Player of the 2019 Future Stars game. The 2020 game was cancelled due to Covid-19.
Alison Saunders 5'10" Guard, North Harrison High School (2022)
Ali's selection for the 2021 Class Basketball All-Star Classic is third time being selected to participate in the game. Ali scored three (3) points and had one (1) rebound and one (1) assist in the White team's 81-74 victory in the 2019 game. The 2020 game was cancelled due to COVID-19. Ali will not be playing in the 2021 game due to an ankle sprain suffered a few days prior to the event.

Selected to Participate in the
IBCA/IHSAA Top 100 Underclass Showcase
Five Players from the Indiana Elite Venom (2022) have been selected by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association to participate in the IBCA/IHSAA Top 100 Underclass Annual Showcase on June 18, 2021, at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Top 100 Underclass Showcase is designed to bring the best underclassman in the State of Indiana together for a day of drills and competition.
Abigail Ratts, a 5'10" Forward from Salem High School averaged 7.71 Points, 7.14 Rebounds, 3.0 Assists, 2.9 Steals and 1.48 Blocked Shots per game while shooting 48% from the floor last season for the Lions. Abigail was an Honorable Mention All Mid-Southern Conference selection for the 2020-2021 season.
ABIGAIL RATTS - SALEM HIGH SCHOOL
Alison Saunders, a 5'10" Guard, from North Harrison High School averaged 21.9 Points, 5.6 Rebounds, 5.2 Assists and 3.0 Steals per game last season. Known for her ability to shoot the ball, Alison shot 59% on two point field goals, 44% on three point field goals and 80% from the free throw line. Alison scored her 1,000 career point during the season. Alison was a First Team All Mid-Southern Conference selection for the 2020-2021 season.
ALISON SAUNDERS - NORTH HARRISON HIGH SCHOOL
Natalie Noel, a 5'10" Wing/Guard from Salem High School averaged 15.2 Points, 5.1 Rebounds, 2.4 Assists and 1.8 Steals per game while shooting a blistering 63% from two point range, 38% from three point range and 79% from the free throw line. Natalie was a First Team All Mid-Southern Conference selection for the 2020-2021 season.
NATALIE NOEL - SALEM HIGH SCHOOL
Diana Burgher, a 6'0" Wing/Forward, from North Harrison High School averaged 16.2 Points, 8.2 Rebounds, 2.2 Blocked Shots and 1.3 Assists per game for the Lady Cats. Diana shot 50% from the floor and 72% from the free throw line for the season. Diana was a First Team All Mid-Southern Conference selection for the 2020-2021 season.
DIANA BURGHER - NORTH HARRISON HIGH SCHOOL
Keegan Kaiser, a 5'9" Guard from Floyd Central High School averaged 10.0 Points, 5.0 Rebounds, 2.0 Assists and 1.0 Steals per game her Sophomore season. Keegan was an Honorable Mention All Hoosier Hills Conference selection for the 2020 - 2021 season.

The Outlet Interviews Indiana Elite Players
Nicole Ambrose founded The Outlet to provide exposure and recognition to players across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Coach Ambrose has been involved in coaching at various levels since 2013, including serving as a Student and Graduate Manager for the University of Louisville Women's basketball team and Assistant Coach at Indiana University Southeast. Currently, Coach Ambrose is the Assistant Coach at University of South Carolina Upstate.
Prior to accepting the Assistant Coaching position at University of South Carolina Upstate, Coach Ambrose interviewed several of the Indiana Elite Venom (2022) players for a show called The Pick Up. Links to The Outlet Youtube Channel for each of the player interviews are posted below.

Crystal Riley was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee and attended Hillcrest High School. After a successful high school career she received a scholarship to attend Louisiana State University. Crystal spent one semester at LSU before transferring to the University of Kentucky. At Kentucky, Crystal appeared in four NCAA tournaments, four Sweet Sixteen's, three Elite Eight's and won a regular season Southeastern Conference Championship.
After a great college experience, Crystal remained in Lexington, KY and served as a Support Staff Associate for the Kentucky women's basketball team during the 2013-14 season. In 2014-15, Crystal was promoted to Interim Assistant Women's Basketball Coach for the Wildcats. Following her seven year stint at Kentucky she spent two seasons (2015-2017) as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Crystal is currently coaching high school basketball in the Louisville, Kentucky area serving as the Head Junior Varsity Coach, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Girl's Varsity Assistant Coach at Sacred Heart Academy.
With Crystal's great knowledge and passion for the game of basketball she is now sharing her experiences with future athletes who are in need of basic fundamental and advanced skill training. Crystal offers personal basketball training, strength, conditioning and agility training to athletes seeking to become a better overall athlete.
