MISSION

Street ball has lost its wholesale appeal over recent years. The easy access to indoor gyms have changed the outdoor street ball fervor and weekend rage to get ”next” on the spotlight local court. Since, we seldom see the regular pouring of players and fans onto playground courts, the founder and executive general manager of JNSL Sports and Business Association, Carnell Parham want to change the reality of that almost dried up landscape.

Mr. Parham still have fond memories of playing nearly ever day on outdoor basketball courts. The crowd of players would roll in like clouds forming for a rain storm. There was electricity in the air. The field of players were posturing to position themselves on the most dominate team.

However, Mr. Parham was different, he loved the challenge of pairing with weak or less talented team members. He enjoyed the idea of partnering up with those participants who were looked over the talented players. 

So, Carnell Parham launched the JNSL Semi-Pro Basketball League where all able and capable players can “GO-PRO.” This Locally-Based Semi-Pro Basketball League will have no try-outs, cuts, drafts, or contracts.

The League's slogan is “Get Your Five, Drive Locally and Thrive TM.”

Our mission is about offering opportunities to all able and capable participants who desire championship. leadership, salesmanship, and entrepreneurship experiences.

Also, JNSL Association (JNSLA) want to inform and teach every player about the two most important points that any player can ever make. These two critical points are:

2. Favor

Once you grasp the true power and direction of wisdom and favor, your avenues and revenues will be made plain unto you.

Our aim is to spotlight the best locally-based "street" and “PROfessional” basketball and business performers and achievers on and off the basketball courts, in competitive and cooperative environment to compete, entertain, elite, and teach. JNSLA is also dedicated to promoting and marketing the League, teams, and players. We help all League participants find their voice and pathway to excellence, success, and prosperity.

JNSLA will introduce it's Four Point Play(TM) Program that intentionally run up the score in your favor by making the following four prominent life points:

3. Faith (Belief)

4. Finances

VISION

The JNSLA is the vision of a sharecropper's son, Carnell Parham. Mr. Parham had no fans among family members or friends when he played basketball. In fact, his father questioned him once, “boy why are you chasing after that fools ball?” When Carnell was 12 years old he had a vision of owning and operating a community center and gym. Chasing after bouncing ball has taught him about life. The idea of fierce competition, team collaboration, sharing the ball, playing hard, and persistentreat teachers and mentors.

Carnell has learn that talented players as well as, average players deserve to have a platform and strategy where they can “Go Pro” and have the option to stay local to play games.

ABOUT US

Throughout the world right now, people are dribbling, passing, and shooting a basketball. At JNSL Association we are on the basketball courts too, our Semi-PROfessional Basketball League is unique, locally-based, fun, and accessible. JNSLA Basketball League is an open lane. Participants are welcomed from all walks of life. Players can team up and join the JNSL Semi-PROfessional Basketball League.

JNSL Association is a non-profit organization headquartered in Henderson, North Carolina, founded by the President/Executive General Manager, Carnell Parham. The first, Semi-PROfessional Basketball League will be established in the small city of Henderson, North Carolina. The berth of other basketball leagues will soon sprout up all around the NC Triangle area, other counties of North Carolina, the rest of North America, and the World.

The League do not not recruit, hold try-outs, make cuts, or offer player's contracts. So, you can see, all able and capable basketball players and other participants can join our program. The founder the ,JNSL Association and JNSL Semi-PROfessional Basketball League, Carnell Parham, wanted to launch a League that promotes inclusion and personal development.

Here are some reasons why Mr. Parham started the League:

1. Only 3 percent of High School basketball players get recruited by major College programs

2. About 1 percent of the 3 percent High School recruits receive basketball scholarships

3. There are only 60 NBA Draft Picks slots for the whole field of COLLEGE and WALK-ON players

4. When the 60 new draftees sign contracts. Sixty current players are released from their contracts every year

THE LEAGUE

The JNSLA is developing the first, ever Semi-PROfessional Locally-Based street and arena basketball league that will operate year round with four seasons or quarters.

The League will have 12-15 players and teams based in their own small towns and cities to compete against other teams home teams starting throughout North Carolina, the United States and the rest of North America.

We will create a greater local demand for basketball players and participants who wish to take advantage of small business an entrepreneurship opportunities.

 JNSLA will use Facebook Live, YouTube,and other social media resources to promote the League, teams, and players. One key goal is to create a atmosphere that will also purposely include fans, sponsors, supporters, vendors, communities, and others.

IN THE LOCALCOMMUNITY

Giving back and community building is a major focus of JNSLA. JSNLA will partner with local agencies, businesses, religious groups, parks and recreation departments, schools, charities, and other community outreach organizations. JNSLA will create League clubhouses in the small towns and cities we serve. JNSLA will use basketball as the platform to reach, teach, and enrich the lives of young people. Through the lanes of basketball, we demonstrate how youth can grow, develop, and excel on the court and off the court. The fast pace of the game challenge players to make on the spot decisions and solve problems.

JNSLA Youth Reverse Dribble (YRD) Academy camps and clinics are occasions for local area youth to play, learn, and earn from LOCAL areas professional. JNSLA offer many activities that are fun, rewarding, and safe. We provide a warm and positive environment, to help young people build character, confidence, leadership, responsibility, accountability, and other principles that promote family, community togetherness, sharing and development. Plus we teach young athletes to realize and maximize their potential in sports.

JNSL Association is an locally-based association of players and teams throughout the U.S. established to promote and spotlight youth abilities, knowledge, and poise under pressure. YRD Academy(TM) is a unique brand of basketball that focus on practicing fundamental court skills and crossing over to the basics of business skills.

 The current and former roster of JNSLA players bring incredible talents, skills, personal knowledge, and experiences to the YRD Academy(TM). the Internet is a treasure trove of diverse

 nuggets on DVD’s and Videos resources.

 Participants will start out learning and practicing the basics like, dribbling with both hands, running back cuts, boxing out, rebounding positioning, shooting form, ball control, and situation awareness on the court.
