Aguilar Turns Triple Play, Eagles Edge Einstein for Sixth Win

April 27, 2013

With no outs and the bases loaded, Einstein's number two batter hit a line drive to Aguilar who caught it and quickly threw it to the second baseman Sophomore Erik Jeffries who threw it to Sophomore shortstop Brad Smith who then stepped on second base for the second out before sending it to third baseman Sophomore James Puhnaty to step on the third base, completing the always rare triple play. In short it was scored as a 9-4-6-5 triple play. The Eagles continued the offensive surge, scoring 18 total, shutting out Einstein for a final score of 18-0. The Screaming Eagles final game is away at Montgomery College-Rockville on Thursday, May 2 at 3:30 PM as they face off against the Rockets of Richard Montgomery in what has been a twice postponed game.
