Coaching

Our program is designed to create a competitive, challenging and positive training/game environment for our players. We focus on technical, tactical, physical and mental aspects of the game. Our aim is to prepare our players to play at the collegiate level, and while doing so learn valuable life skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, commitment, communication and time management.

Coach Mike Valenti is going into his 3^rd season as Field Coach. He is a former NCAA player for Wilmington University, where he achieved his Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Management. He supports the scholarship route for the players on the team. As such he is dedicated to guiding and mentoring those looking to receive a collegiate level scholarship. Coach Mike is National B License trained (awaiting assessment).

Coach Kirk Markle has guided the team since being the key driver of its creation in 2011. He is a Professional Engineer by schooling. Team sports, including soccer, have always been central to his extra-curricular activities in grade school, university and adult life. In addition to leadership training courses, Coach Kirk has completed soccer training courses in coaching, consistent with Long Term Player Development requirements.

Outdoor Season 2020 Activities; 

Interrupted due to COVID-19. When Return to Play protocols allowed, we engaged in training by on-line Zoom sessions, then face to face with social distancing, and finally scrimmaging.

Outdoor Season 2021 Activities;

As weather and Return to Play protocols are allowing, we have commenced our outdoor training on the turf. We will be playing in the new York Region Soccer League Premier League for this season, as a COVID replacement for the CSL.
