Fairfield County Youth Softball (FCYS )

The Fairfield County Youth Softball (FCYS) is a dedicated organization committed to fostering a love for softball among girls ages 3 to 18 in the Lancaster area. Managed by a team of devoted volunteers, the FCYSensures the seamless operation of its activities. The association organizes two recreational softball seasons each year, providing ample opportunities for young athletes to play, develop their skills, and enjoy the sport. Additionally, FCYS hosts several travel tournaments, attracting teams from various regions to compete. Through its unwavering support for youth softball, the FCYS plays a pivotal role in bringing the community together and promoting healthy, active lifestyles.

ASA Insured & Sanctioned:

The Fairfield County Youth Softball (FCYS), along with its teams and players, is insured and sanctioned under the Amateur Softball Association (ASA). Our umpires are also certified ASA professionals with years of experience.

FCYS Complex:

For over 20 years, Martens Park and Lancaster Parks & Rec have proudly hosted the Fairfield County Youth Softball (FCYS). The FCYS has financed and implemented numerous improvements, including the concession stand, shelter house, outfield fences, split rail fence, side fences, backstop improvements, dugouts, paved dugouts, scoreboards, sponsor board, storage buildings, and electrical enhancements. Additionally, the FCYS owns essential field maintenance equipment, such as a diamond "rig," tractor, golf cart, and various other tools. This enables games to continue at Martens Park even when other parks cancel. These enhancements are funded through registrations, tournaments, and concession stand proceeds. It's important to note that once completed, these improvements become the property of the City of Lancaster Parks Department. The LGSA also has limited access to fields at Maher Park, and Mary Burnum Park.

Lancaster Parks and Recreation:

For over 20 years, Lancaster Parks and Recreation have been a key partner of the Lancaster Girls Softball Association (LGSA). Without the support of Lancaster Parks and Recreation and the City of Lancaster, the FCYS wouldn't thrive as it does today. Together, we have created a best-in-class recreational softball program in Lancaster. Lancaster Parks and Recreation provide the fields, trash removal, landscaping, water, power, parking, and storage, helping the FCYS run our league and maintain some of the best softball fields and parks in the state.
