Play Off Rules

1. Each team can have 1 time out for 30 seconds.

2, Warm up before start of game – 2 minutes

3. All periods 13 minutes stop time

4. 1 minute break between periods.

5. If game tied after 3 periods there will be a 5 minute sudden death stop time period.  If still tied after 5 minutes – 5 player shootout.  Please be prepared to immediately provide the names of players for the shootout.  Team that finished highest in the standings decides who shoots first.

6. If still tied, shootout continues 1 player at a time until one team scores and the other does not.  You can use a shooter from the 5 player shootout and the same shooter can be used over and over.

Please note: In extenuating circumstances, the time left in available ice time may not be sufficient to play the 5 minute stop time period and potential shootout.  If this is the case, proceed directly to 5 person shootout.  This decision is to be made quickly with 2 team captains and referee.
