The Macon Bucks is a youth amateur basketball league. This program was designed to help develop our youth into the total athlete. Our primary purpose is to help the youths in our program do well academically while also developing their athletic abilities. Our team travels to southeastern states to play in USBA, AAU, and NTBA tournaments. Our program was initiated in October of 2003. It consists of volunteers totally committed to the success of this program. Our mission is to create life long learners who will go on to become productive members of our society. We offer a very positive outlet for the young men and women who participate with us. The Macon Bucks consists of boys ages 9 – 17 and girls 11 – 17.
Some of our players need full instruction in the fundamentals of basketball, while others are very talented youths who are planning to attend college with a few years to play basketball. Everyone involved in our program feels very strongly that education is the number one key to success. Athletics is an important aspect to enhance to their success. We are providing a safe and effective program which encompasses both of these domains.
