Congratulations, Middle Creek!

Middle Creek captured the American League playoff championship in a winner-take-all game 5 on Monday, Aug. 25, downing defending champion Erb Mennonite Red 15-9 to avenge last year's loss in the finals. This marks Middle Creek's (21-10) first title since a run of four straight that ended in 2001. For Erb Red (23-9), this was its 11th consecutive appearance in the finals.

Congratulations, Chiques Blue!

Chiques Blue completed a three-game sweep of Manheim BIC Black on Thursday, Aug. 21, capping a 7-0 run in the playoffs en route to winning the National League championship. The undefeated run coincided with Chiques Blue's nine straight wins to end the regular season, giving them a 16-game winning streak to finish the season after starting the year 5-8! This is the first championship for Chiques Blue (21-8). For Manheim BIC Black (17-14), they were making their first appearance in a championship game as well and had survived two winner-take-all games in previous rounds to advance to the finals.
