     Welcome to the Home Page of the Babe Ruth League, Inc. Middle Atlantic Region. This page is designed to provide information on various Tournaments and News from the Middle Atlantic Region.

     The Middle Atlantic Region is comprised of organization from the "States" of Delaware, Maryland, Southern New Jersey, Northern New Jersey, Eastern New York, Western New York, and Pennsylvania.

     Babe Ruth League, Inc. is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to developing better citizens by providing properly supervised baseball and softball competition for players ages 5-18. Established in 1951, there are now over 8,600 leagues and 52,000 teams representing almost one million players in the United States and Canada. Babe Ruth League has a total of over 1.9 million volunteers.  It is the fundamental belief of Babe Ruth League, Inc. that every child with a desire to play baseball or softball be afforded that opportunity.



2018 Rule Changes

Please Note the Latest Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Tournament Pitching Rule Change
(June 18, 2018)

Babe Ruth League Rule 11.05, Paragraph 5 - NOTE

Current Rule – No pitcher shall appear in a game as a pitcher for three (3) consecutive days/games regardless of pitch count. Exemption: 7-8-year-old divisions.

New Wording – No pitcher shall appear in a game as a pitcher for three (3) consecutive days regardless of pitch count. Exemption: 7-8-year-old divisions. [Three (3) consecutive games is eliminated from the Note on page 27 of the 2018 Babe Ruth League, Inc. Baseball Rules and Regulations & Official Playing Rules.

For 2018, Babe Ruth League Inc. will allow a Test Pilot Program for our Eastern New York Babe Ruth League (all baseball divisions) State organization to create two separate and distinct tournament trail opportunities. One for Eastern NY Northern Division and one for Eastern NY Southern Division. These two Divisions will be administered & operated under the Eastern New York State Commissioner as one organization. Eastern NY’s Southern Division will include Sullivan, Dutchess, and most of Ulster Counties and extend south. The Northern Division will extend North of the aforementioned Counties. – This Test Pilot is for the 2018 and will be subject to review at the end of the season. With this change, ALL Middle Atlantic Region Tournaments will return to a 10-Team Format.
