7th and 8th graders have the opportunity to play Mason Jr Pro AND Mason Middle School basketball.  Your player can choose to play in one or both leagues.  The games and the practices do not overlap. 

The 7th grade Mason Middle School coach for the 2019-2020 season will be Lynn McCoy.  She has asked us to pass along the following message to incoming 7th grade boys only: 

Attention 6^th grade boys interested in playing 7^th grade basketball next school year.  There will be four basketball  workout sessions available to you every Monday for the month of April.  These 4 dates include April 8, 15, 22, and 29. These workouts will be held in the middle school gym from 4:30-6:00 pm.  There is no cost to attend.  Bring your basketball shoes and plan on attending as many of the sessions that you are available.  Please sign up in Mrs. McCoy’s classroom if you are interested. 

Mrs. McCoy will provide information about the program and upcoming summer camps available.  She wants to make you aware that Mystic Lake camp falls right at the start of the Mason Middle School 7th grade boys season.  If your player intends to play Middle School basketball, he should sign up for the first session of Mystic Lake which would be Monday-Wednesday (once sign-up is available).

Mason Jr Pro is one of many local programs within the Red Cedar Basketball League.  The $115 registration cost covers uniforms, shooting shirts, refs (2 per game), gym times (practices), games, league costs, equipment, insurance and website. 

The Red Cedar Basketball League is a COMPETITIVE LEAGUE for boys or girls in grades 3 through 8.  Participation in the league requires travel to other local communities.  Each community will hold their own tryouts.  THERE WILL BE CUTS AT EVERY GRADE LEVEL!  Practices are typically two nights per week. There is usually one tournament at the end of the season. ***There will not be equal playing time.***
