It's a good thing HRM changed all the bulbs at Beazley Field this week because it was LIGHTS OUT for Pat MacInnis as he chucked a no hitter for a 3-0 win against the Dartmouth Drillers Monday night in the first game of the semi finals.  Robbie MacPhail had the 1 RBI of the night with a fly ball that cleared the right fielder's glove.  EP takes a 1-0 lead in the best of 3 and resume play Thursday night for game 2.

Total Team effort

EP went into this game to tune up for Provincials.  With 14 hits and 14 runs, they took down Dartmouth 14-3.  Flipping the order exactly 5 times throughout the game gave everyone lots of bats to heat up before Provincials.  Shadbolt led the Drillers with a 4 for 4 night with 3 singles and a double knocking in a RBI.  4 pitchers for EP limited the Drillers to 3 runs and only 1 earned.

Rays Offence Wakes Up

The Spryfield Rays struggled through the month of July, but have started August like they played in June. Visiting the Dartmouth Drillers for the second straight game in less then a week, the Rays bats came alive scoring 15 runs in the first three innings burying the Drillers in a 15-2 victory where the entire Rays offence chipped in with at least one hit. Dustin Isenor was solid in yet another start, picking up the victory. Matt Greenough tried to spark the Drillers offence hitting a homerun in the 2nd, but that was they seemed to have for Dusty on this night.

The victory seperates the Rays from the 4th place Drillers by 5 points with the provincial AAA deadline quickly approaching.
