2026 Summer Ball League information

Hello everyone, and we hope you all enjoyed the mild winter! lol. 

    We have had our Administration meeting and are now ready to move forward with this year's season. This email will give you the important details to bring back to your league to get the ball rolling, and it's also a reminder to start your own team registrations if you haven't gotten that far yet. I expect to have the link set up on the web page by Sunday at the latest and open up registration. We will be closing registration by June 22nd so that we have a few days to put schedules together.

     Here are a few things to remember:

  • Registration
    • Open as of April 26th
    • Registration closes promptly at 5 pm on June 22nd
  • Divisions:
    • A Division will consist of 13A, 14A
    • B Division will consist of 13B, 14B
    • 15 Division
      • 16-year-olds may play with the 15-year-olds
  • All Divisions will start on June 29th, 2026
    • THIS IS A FLEXIBLE DATE - If you cannot make that date work, reach out to the other coach and get a date together before calling Skip to let him know the change. The sooner the better, since he likes to schedule umpires in advance
    • Playoffs tentatively scheduled for August 1st
  • All divisions have flexibility with date play, but again, Advance notice is needed
  • There will be an info meeting for Q & A's for all teams signed up (TBD)
  • Game Play:
    • A division will play 10 games
    • B division will play 12 games
    • 15 division will play 12 games
    • Games will be twice a week, more if needed to complete the scheduled amount before playoffs
  • League Cost: $250 per team
  • Umpire Assignor cost: $110 per team, paid directly to Skip Crossman
  • Umpire cost per game will be confirmed on the site

Fall Ball League Information

13-15 y/o       And      16-18 y/o


Hello everyone, and welcome to Metro South's Fall Ball information page. We have set this page up to answer any questions you may have regarding Fall Ball to help you make an informed decision about signing up.

Fall ball is played on Sundays starting the first Sunday in September. Games are doubleheaders and are 7 innings each. The season lasts approximately 5 weeks, with Columbus Day weekend set aside for any makeup games if necessary (Sat, Sun, Mon). Everyone makes the playoffs, and they are played on the Saturday or Sunday after Columbus Day weekend (depending on the number of teams).

  1. League Details:
    1. Registration Fee is $200 at the time of sign-up
    2. Umpire Assignor Fee paid SEPARATELY to the umpire assignor for $110 one time per team
      1. Games will not be assigned until the fee is paid or arrangements are made with the assignor
    3. There will not be an A, B, or C division classification, and the following is for transparency and was asked in previous years
      1. 13-15 y/o
      2. 16-18 y/o
      3. Ages are the age at the time of Spring ball. (You could possibly see a 16 y/o on the 13-15 teams, and you could possibly see a 19 y/o on the 16-18 teams 
      4. 12's can play up on the 13-15 team, and 15's can play up on the 16-18 team
    4. You must be prepared for possible travel. We can only try to arrange divisions locally if we have enough teams

  2. Season Details:
    • The season will start promptly on September 7th and wraps up on October 5th, or Columbus Day weekend if needed for makeups
    • 1 umpire
    • 1 Double header, each game is 7 innings
    • Game time will start at 11 am, and will have a 1/2 hr in between for break
    • If you are the Home team for the first game, you will be the Away team for the second
    • Home team for that game (not the field) supplies baseballs
    • Home Team pays the umpire $120 for that game (each team will pay $120 per Sunday)
  • Playoffs will start on Saturday 10/18 or Sunday 10/19 depending on the amount of teams in each division
    • Everyone makes the playoffs
    • 1 single elimination game (7 innings)
    • 2 Umpires
    • Each team will pay 1 umpire $80
  • Championship and wrap up hopefully by October 26th
    • 2 Umpires
    • Each team will pay 1 umpire $80

 

      We will send out an online "interest" registration form to fill out to gauge and see if we will have enough teams. If we see that it will work (min of 4 teams per division), then we will send out the official registration form to fill out with payment due immediately. This process will be done and must be completed no later than September 1st. All teams are welcome, and please forward this to anyone who may be responsible for the registration process.
