**NEW** 2020 Montgomery Flag Football Camps

Participants will learn the skills of passing, receiving, rushing and defense all with a flag football slant (no pun intended!)
Each participant will spend 50 min at one of the four disciplines learning correct techniques to help them improve their skills and having fun doing it!  This will in turn improve them as players during the Montgomery Flag Football season.
After each activity the participants will take 10 minutes to hydrate and move to the next activity.
PASS, CATCH, RUN and HAVE FUN!
Although we will be outside and able to space the kids out; registration will be strictly limited.
Parents will be required to sign an additional health waiver during sign-in. COVID-19 precautions will be adhered. 
Temperatures will be checked prior to participation. If above state acceptable level, the camper will not be able to participate and refunds will not provided. Counselors will be masked when at or near 6 feet for instruction and equipment will be sanitized as needed. 

Girls Only Flag Football Camp

If health conditions regarding COVID-19 allow, the final 30 min will be a moms versus daughters game!

Coed Flag Football Camp
Date: August 8

Cost: $60
Eligibility: Boys and Girls entering 1st to 6th grade
Sign-in: 8:30-9:00am
Camp: 9:00-1:30pm
If health conditions regarding COVID-19 allow, the final 30 min we will run "age appropriate" scrimmages


**NEW** Coed Punt, Pass and Kick Competition

Montgomery Flag is bringing back the Punt, Pass and Kick (PP&K) competition locally!

Players get the opportunity for one punt, one pass and one kick, and a score is calculated based on those results. The score is a combination of distance and accuracy.

For example, if a player throws the ball 60 feet, but the ball lands 10 feet away from the measuring tape, the final score for the punt will be 50. The scores for each attempt are then added up for a participant's final score. So if a player's punt score is 100, passing score is 50 and kicking score is 45, the player's final score will be 195.

There will be 4 divisions. Due to COVID-19 precautions each division will come to the field at staggered times to limit the amount of participants at the field at one time.  Parents will be required to sign an additional health waiver during sign-in. COVID-19 precautions will be adhered. Temperatures will be checked prior to participation. If above state acceptable level, the camper will not be able to participate and refunds will not be provided. Instructors will be masked when at or near 6 feet for instruction and equipment will be sanitized as needed. 
No football shoes, football cleats or bare feet are allowed. Players cannot use their own football.

At the end of each PP&K competition a separate Field Goal Competition will take place! 


Fall 2020 Registration

The league is open to girls and boys, grades K-12, and adults from Montgomery and surrounding towns.
Cost

$135* per player grades 3-9

$110* for each additional sibling and/or K-2 participants
*Due to COVID-19 and the financial affect it has had on many families; Montgomery Flag Football has lowered prices by 10% for this upcoming fall season. 

Scholarships are still available on an as-needed basis. 
If requesting scholarship consideration please contact the commissioner before registering your child.

Player Evaluations:  Wednesday and Thursday August 26 and 27 (weather permitting)

To make balanced teams it is helpful if all children can attend. 
This is especially important for new players.
Please mark you calendar and arrive early enough that we can start on time.

Player evaluations will take place at Mill Pond Complex field 6. 

Wednesday August 26:  K-2* and 3/4 grade divisions 
Thursday August 27   :  5/6 and 7-9  grade divisions
*Kindergarten participants need to be 5 1/2 years old by 9/1/20. Proof of age will be required.*

On both days evaluations begin at 5:30 pm. Please try to have your child arrive on time. 
It should take no more than one hour to complete. 
Coaches will meet on Monday Night August 31 to form teams. 

The season will be played on Saturdays beginning September 12 and ending October 31 including over Columbus Day weekend.  All games are played at Mill Pond Complex field 6
Each week consists of one half-hour practice followed by two games except for K-2 teams who will only play one game each week.

There will be an optional single preseason practice for coaches to meet their team during the week before the first Saturday of play. Uniforms may be handed out if they arrive in time.
This practice will take place at Mill Pond Complex field 6 at a day and time of each coaches choosing.

Grades 7-9: 11:00 am - 1:30 pm
Grades K-2:   1:30 - 3:00 pm 
Grades 3-4:   3:00 - 5:30 pm

Games are played under the same rules as the youth league

**Adults must register online and pay for one game. Remaining payments may be paid in cash at the field.

Time listed begins the 30 minutes of practice prior to the start of the first game.
A game consists of two 20 min halves with a 5 min half-time. The game is played with a running clock however, games often run a full hour due to clock stoppage after scores and team time outs.
