Coach Romero will be providing practices for Cheyenne Mountain players who are NOT on a summer baseball team.  This is for all CM players who did not make our 16U team or CM players who were too old to play 16U and is not playing on a summer team.  Practices will be on Tuesday and Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00.  I would especially like to see the incoming freshman participate in these practices so we can start working with those guys now.  Cost is $275 and will run the following dates:

Mountain Baseball will have a 16U summer team.  Tryouts for this club team will be on Sunday, May 24th at Cheyenne Mountain HS, 10:00.  Please email Coach Swope (mswope@cmsd12.org), with the following information:  Player name, grad year, high school attending, primary positions, pitcher (yes/no), bats/throws (example L/R).

We will be playing around 30-35 games (no out of state events), to include 4 tournaments.  Most games will be vs. club level teams.  Cost for summer ball to include uniform top and hat is $775.  Practices will begin immediately following the Spring season conclusion with games beginning around June 1st.  The summer season will conclude around July 18th.

Due to low tryout numbers, Cheyenne Mountain will only have a JV and Varsity team this season.  The coaching staff has decided to keep some players that would be designated to play on this year's C team for development purposes.  We are going to try and schedule some games vs. C level teams outside the JV schedule to ensure our younger guys can play some games vs. sitting on the bench at the JV level.  Those players who do not see their name on the rosters, please understand the coaches would like to see you stay in the program and be JV managers this season.  You will receive instruction during practices but will not suite up for games.

If you have a JV/V designation, you will receive a varsity uniform and suite up for all varsity and JV games.

Wanted to give everyone an update on where our Cheyenne Mountain alumni are playing/coaching for the 2026 season.

Class of 2012

Bret Helton:  Played collegiately at the University of Utah.  Was drafted in the 9th round by the Pittsburg Pirates where he played for 4 years in the Pirates organization.  Bret just finished his 4th season pitching for the Party Animals (Savannah Bananas).

Class of 2021

Adam Jackson:  Adam has been named Director of Scouting and Player Development for Crown College in Minnesota.  Adam has been instrumental in coaching CM summer teams for the past 3 seasons.

Class of 2022

Denton Damgaard:  Denton is playing at Missouri S&T (DII) located in Rolla, Missouri.

Connor Frickey:  Connor is playing at Babson College (DIII) located in Needham, Massachusetts.
