Area III Registration/Weigh Ins/Wrestle Offs

·         AREA III Registration / Weigh Ins & Wrestle Offs

o   For new parents, Area III’s is basically the qualifier for your wrestler to make it to the State Championship.

§  1st and 2nd place winners in their age and weight bracket at Area III’s qualify for the PAJW State Tournament.

o   If your wrestler would like to participate in the AREA III tournament, you must register by January 22nd. This can be done by text, email or in person to the following:

o   DO NOT register if you are not 100% committed to attending.

o   If there is more than one MP wrestler registering at the same age and weight, there will be a wrestle off. The winner of the wrestle off will advance to the AREA III tournament.

§  Wrestle Offs are scheduled for January 29th at 6pm

·         You will weigh in prior to the match and must make the weight you are registering for.

·         Wrestle Offs are treated just like a real match. There will be a referee.

o   Area III registration fee is covered by MPJW for actively participating MPJW wrestlers.

Pitt Bus Trip

November 17, 2018 – 11:15 AM

·         All youth wrestlers will be invited down to the mat at 1 pm for a Clinic hosted by Pitt.

·         All youth wrestlers will stick around for the 3 pm match for FREE!

·         Parent/Guardian Chaperone is REQUIRED. Coaches will attend-but your child is your responsibility

·         MPJW will provide a BUS. (Departing MP School at 11:15 am)

·         Chaperone/Guest Tickets will be $5 unless we can get enough participants for the $3 option.

·         Must sign up and pay by November 13th. No exceptions.

New for the Season

We have some exciting changes coming our way.

The Jr. and Sr. High Varsity Wrestlers will be practicing with the kids on Thursdays. 

We will also be getting some support from the Varsity Head Coach - Zack Sheridan and his coaching staff. They have a lot of ideas and such that they will be implementing on the program.

This is a great opportunity to better the organization, coaches and wrestlers! 

Please welcome them with open arms!

By-Law Change Requests

If you wish to propose a change or addition to the By-Laws, please go to the Handout Tab and print out the By-Law Change Request Form. All forms must be submitted to an officer or through email ( by OCTOBER 15th to be voted on at the First Parent Meeting on October 30th. Any forms turned in AFTER OCTOBER 15th will not be accepted nor voted on.

By-law change request forms will be handed out at registration along with the signed By-laws that are currently in effect. Forms must be returned by October 15th to be voted on at the October 30th meeting.
