Laurel MS-  Laurel get two important victories against Southeastern MS.  Laurel won both game with score of 8-1 and 10-0 and with the win in game two the Laurel clinch the regular season league title and earn the #1 seed in the Magnolia State Tournament on July 9-10. 

Biloxi MS- Laurel picks up a big league sweep of Biloxi with a 5-4 victory in game one and a 11-0 victory in game two. With the victories Laurel moves into first place while  Biloxi drops to 2nd place in league standing.

Perry County- Hattiesburg Pirates get first victory of the season with a 6-4 victory over Southeastern MS.  Hattiesburg forefeits the second game of the series to earn a split.

Laurel MS- Laurel Black Cats wins game one 9-5 against Biloxi. In game two Biloxi won 7-5. With the split Laurel moves  first place with a 5-1 record in the division while Biloxi falls to second with a 4-2 record.     

Hattiesburg MS,- The Hattiesburg Pirates drop the 2 game home series with Laurel.  In game one Laurel jump out to a 3-0 lead in the first two innnings.  In the 3rd inning Laurel put 3 runs on the board off of Bobo Morgan homerun to take a 6-0 lead and never look back. Hattiesburg falls to 0-4 in divisional play while Laurel moves to 4-0 in the south division. Next up: Laurel will host Biloxi (3-1) while Hattiesburg will travel to Southeastern MS (1-3) on June 12.

Perry County MS- The Biloxi Dodgers pick up a big MBL south division sweep of Southeastern MS.  In game one the Dodgers edged Southeastern 4-2 while in game two the Dodgers blasted Southeastern 11-0 to take the series 3 games to 1. The Dodgers move to 3-1 in south divisional play while Southeastern drops to 1-3. 

Jackson MS - The defending League Champions defeat the Jackson Cubs 4-3 in a 9 inning game at Tougaloo College. With the victory Meridian moves into a first place tie with Jackson Mustangs in the MBL north division.

Jackson MS- Jackson Mustangs pick up a big victory against the newly named Jackson Cub (Tougaloo).  With the victory the Mustangs move into a first place tie in the north with the Meridian Blue Sox.

Laurel,MS- Laurel Black Cats got their first MBL south division victory with a 10-0(5th) run rule win against Hattiesburg Pirates. Game two was forfeited. 

Biloxi- The Biloxi Dodgers split the Mississippi Baseball League (MBL) home opener series 1-1 against Southeastern winning the first game 2-1 in walk off fashion.  Down 1-0 for most of the game the Dodger rallied in the final inning scoring two runs for the win. In the second game of the series the Dodgers would fall 4-2 to Southeastern.  With the lost, the Biloxi would fall into a tie with Southeastern in the MBL South Division.  The next game between the two teams will be June 5th in at Southeastern(Perry Central High School). 

Laurel,MS-Meridian came from behind to defeat the Laurel Black Cats 5-4 in 7 innings.  Meridian finished the weekend 3-0 and captured the Magnolia Tournament for the 2nd year.

                      Meridian Blue Sox Player Ledarious Clark was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 12th round of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Wednesday.
