MLB GU12 - Champions at Empire Cup, Webster NY - June 21, 2015
On June 19-21, 2015, the Markham Lightning Black GU12 team travelled to Webster NY to participate in the 2015 Empire Cup, part of the Lakefront Classic tournament. They faced some stiff competition in the Empire Division facing teams ranked 3rd, 6th and 10th in the western New York state region. In the Championship game, they defeated the Western New York State Cup Champions, Empire Revolution Rochester. A big congratulations to Coach George Filntissis and his players who played their hearts out against bigger and older girls to bring home the gold hardware.
