·         Games will have 1 umpire for 8u,10u & 12u. 14u,16U- 2 umpires

Championship game will have 2 umpires. 

·         Announced Championship Game, indoor bathrooms and concession.

·         Teams will have access to three batting cages and soft toss nets for practice.

Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Certification Course

Sponsored by the Monroe Twp Baseball Association (MTBA)

Friday, March 15th, 2019

Registration/Payment: 6:00pm-6:30pm

Course: 6:30pm-9:30pm*

Monroe Twp Recreation Center

*no one will be allowed to enter the course after it begins at 6:30pm*

 

All MTBA volunteer managers and coaches (Rec and Travel) must have the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Certification

to be allowed on the field and in the dugout with the children of our program!

 

You must pre-register by calling the Monroe Twp Recreation Center (732-723-5000) prior to March 15th to reserve yourself a seat.

Please leave your name, what town you live in and what sport you are coaching with a member of the Recreation Center staff.

 

The fee for the course is $35 (cash or check made out to MTBA).

The fee must be paid during the check-in period from 6:00pm-6:30pm the evening of the course.

No one can enter once the Course has begun at 6:30pm!

CONCUSSION TRAINING

A manager / coach requirement  is that on-field/in-dugout volunteers also complete a concussion awareness training course.  This course is online and should only take about 20-30 minutes.  Here are the steps to follow to complete that training:

   -- Click on “Order Course”
   -- Register & complete the course
   -- At the end you will be given a certificate to download
   -- Download the certificate and send it to 
mtgsarec@gmail.com   with subject line "Concussion course cert for (last         name)" so we can record it.

All injuries at practice or games (that are serious enough for medical attention either at the field or later at a doctor's office or hospital) should be reported to the manager ASAP and that manager in turn needs to send email to the MTGSA Executive Board right away explaining what happened and detailing the injury as best as possible.

Primary Insurance – Family’s own health insurance
Secondary Insurance – Monroe Rec Dept. (they’ll pay $1000 max)
   To use this the Accident Report Form (see links below) needs to be filled out by the manager and brought to the Rec Center ASAP – deliver to Jeanne Crawley/Ass’t Superintendent.  The injured player's parent/guardian should also fill out the form and give a copy to Jeanne.  Good detail should be included in the “What Occurred” section.
Tertiary Insurance – Insurance (Bolinger) the MTGSA provides families through ASA Softball

*In addition, Bolinger provides insurance to our travel teams if injuries occur during a travel game*

Registration for the 2020 Girls Softball Program is Canceled due to Coronavirus. 

Season begins in April.

Teams will be selected in early March. 

Fee for all players in Pre k - 12th grade = $150 (includes one time $50 family work Bond)

Family's are eligible for a one time $50 work bond refund for season volunteer work. 

Multiple players in the same family will automatically be discounted for the $50 family work bond fee at check out.  If you have a FREE registration coupon from a gift or raffle please enter the number under the coupon code section in the registration form (example 2020-#).

Season runs through Late June. 12 games plus practices, (playoffs and championships games in older divisions.) Included full uniform.

 Note: There is a online registration system in place that you must first sign up for. If you registered last year you should already be in the registration system.
