Errors and strikeouts prove costly as the Legends fall 11-2 to the Wasted Knights. The Legends had plenty of opportunities but failed to come up with key hits when needed. The Legends are now 1-1 in the double elimination playoffs.

The Legends defeated the Diamondbacks 14-5 in the first round of the playoffs. JR Knox turned in a good performance and struck out 5 in his 5 innings of work. The Legends offense really came alive but it was Steve Brown who stole the show with his 2 run bomb in the third inning.

The Wasted Knights keep their perfect record intact as they defeat the Legends 9-3. The Legends kept pace for most of the game but let it slip away in the later innings.

The Legends jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning and finished with 10 runs but it wouldn't be enough in what turned out to be a high scoring game against a crafty Diamondbacks team. The Legends walked 11 batters and the D-Backs took advantage by sending 9 of them across the plate. Bradley Mendez made a huge impact in his first game back by launching a bomb over the right field fence. He would finish the day going 4-4 with a triple, HR and 3 RBIs.

Errors and a stagnant offense keep the Legends from winning their second game of the season. On a positive note, lefty Bryan Marshall looked solid in his four innings of work after missing all of last season. Having his arm back in the rotation will be a big boost for this team.

The Legends come from behind in the late innings to take game one of the 2016 season. It took a combined effort to by the entire team to pull together and get this win. Solid pitching performances by Brandon Jordan and Jeff Pena highlighted the defense. Many hits highlighted the offensive side but it was the go ahead 2-out RBI single in the 8th inning by Kaleb Knox that sealed the victory.

THE 2016 LEGENDS SEASON BEGINS ON 6/5/16.

Game 6 vs. Arma Energy has been cancelled due to issues with the field.

Kaleb Knox threw a complete game and struck out 8 and Houston Laney flashed some serious leather at third but it wasn't enough as the Legends drop both games of their doubleheader. Untimely errors and a lack of offense in the first game were too much for the Legends to overcome. They showed signs of life in the second game with 7 runs on 11 hits but unfortunately the end result was the same. The Legends hope to use this upcoming off week to rest some banged up players so they can make a strong run in the second half of the season.

Indians pitching stifle the Legends in their quest for their second win of the season. A lack of offense and a few errors overshadow a good pitching performance by Jeff Pena and Brandon Jordan. The defense was highlighted with excellent plays by both Fernando Granados and Doug Cousins at first base. Cousins made an impact with the bat as well by driving in a pair of runs on a fourth inning single. Brentt Williams also had an RBI single in the fourth but unfortunately that would be all the runs the Legends would score.

Game 3 has been cancelled due to a bee infestation at the field. This game will be made up later in the season.

Errors and injuries prove too much for the Legends to overcome as they drop the second game of the season to the Leones. The Legends made a run in the late innings as their bats came alive and Kaleb Knox pitched a brilliant 7th and 8th inning but it still wasn't enough against the defending division champions. To top things off Joe Cisneros and JR Knox sustained injuries during the game and may be out for a few weeks.

The Legends win the season opener 8-3 against the Nats2. Jeff Pena struck out five and started the season off with a beautifully pitched complete game backed up by some excellent defense all around the field. The Legends fell behind early but once their bats came alive in the 6th inning there was no looking back.
