NH Comets Hosting FREE Softball Clinics Starting September 3

Starting Tuesday, September 3, the NH Comets Softball organization will be hosting FREE clinics at Sanel Park, 127 Old Suncook Road in Concord from 5-7 pm.  This is a 5-week program, generally designed for players at the 12U level and younger.

The clinics will be run by the NH Comets Director of Player Development, Coach Chad Duford. Coach Duford will be accompanied by members of the Comets experienced coaching staff.  The focus of these clinics will be on fundamentals, mechanics, base running, footwork, game situations, and conditioning.  Any questions can be directed to Coach Duford at 603-848-8428.

Dates for the clinics are September 3, 10, 17, 24 and October 1.

2019 Dan Pesula Sportsmanship Award Winners

Thank you parents and coaches who submitted nominations for this year's Dan Pesula Sportsmanship Awards. The award recognizes players who exemplify the qualities of good sportsmanship and is given in honor of long time volunteer, coach, and MVYBS Board Member Dan Pesula who passed away from cancer in 2016.

Concord Cannons 2019 Fall Baseball League Registration

Concord Cannons Fall Baseball League will begin its 13th season in September. Over 500 players participated in the league last year.  The league continues to expand and provide a structured, quality environment for baseball throughout the fall months. The leagues will consist of teams from New Hampshire and VT. The goal is to improve each players’ skills for the following season, and to have fun doing it. All games will be played on weekends September and October.


3 Divisions Offered in 2019

12U Fall Baseball League- Saturdays 

(16 Team League)

All games are played on 50ft/70ft fields

Player’s cannot turn 13 years old prior to May 1, 2020

Double headers will be played on Saturdays: September 7, 14, 21, 28 October 5, 12

Playoffs will be held Saturday, October 19

Playoffs rain out date is October 26th

Middle School Fall Baseball League - Saturdays 

(8 Team League)

Player’s must be attending Middle School in September to be eligible (grades 6-8)    

Double headers will be played on Saturdays: September 7, 14, 21, 28 October 5, 12

Playoffs will be held Saturday, October 19

Playoff rain out date: October 26th

High School Fall Baseball League - Sundays 

(16 Team League)

Player’s must be attending High School in September to be eligible (grades 9-12)    

Double headers will be played Sundays: September 8, 15, 22, 29 October 6, 13

Playoffs will be held Sunday, October 20

Playoff Make Up Weekend - October 27th 


League Registration Information

Individual Player Registration Includes:

Placed on a Cannons Fall Ball Team (No tryouts required)

Game Hat and Jersey, players responsible for white baseball pants.

1 practice per week at Concord Sports Center 

Team Coach

30 Minutes of batting cage time per week at CSC (Fall Only)

Spring Cannons Players $250.00

Individual Fall Cannons Players $285.00

12 Game Schedule  (all game field rentals provided in the registration cost)

Team practice at Concord Sports Center

Teams are responsible for umpire fees and game balls. 

* Game Balls will be available for sale at Concord Sports Center for

$36 per dozen.

What is MVYBS?

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization chartered by Cal Ripken Baseball, Babe Ruth Baseball (older boys, 13-15) and NH Babe Ruth Softball to provide Baseball and Softball activities for Boys ages 4-15 and Girls ages 4-16 from the towns of Penacook, Boscawen, Salisbury, Webster, Loudon (softball only) and Andover (only Babe Ruth baseball) NH. MVYBS is self funded through player registration fees, fundraising activities, sponsorship by local businesses, and donations from individuals in our community.
