Dwight Barnes Walking Across New England for Ronald McDonald House Charities

Not many of us could find the courage or stamina needed to walk 1,000 miles across New England during the dog days of summer. But that is just what Dwight Barnes, our league treasurer for many years is doing. Instead of playing ball this year with the Granite, Dwight will be walking about 25 miles a day starting at the Ronald McDonald house in Boston and continuing until he has reached Ronald McDonald Houses in Portland, Bangor, Burlington, Springfield, New Haven and Providence.

Dwight's trek begins August 17 and finishes October 12. He is hoping that many NELBL players will find the compassion to support his endeavor by donating a few dollars to help Ronald McDonald House Charities assist families faced with daunting medical expenses for their seriously ill children.
