Nottingham Babe Ruth League

Dear Parents/NBRL Members,

As I had mentioned in my preseason letter, we are eligible to participate in the Mid-Atlantic regional all-star tournaments, which will begin in mid-July. As promised, I can now provide further details.

The Mid-Atlantic Regional tournaments are scheduled as follows:

13-Year-Olds: Old Bridge, NJ, tentative start date July 22.

14-Year-Olds: Old Bridge, NJ, tentative start date July 15.

15–16-Year-Olds: Williamsport, PA, tentative start date July 15.

Regional tournament winners will advance to the Babe Ruth World Series for each age group:

13-Year-Olds: Jamestown, NY, August 13-23.

14-Year-Olds: Eagle Pass, TX, August 6-16.

15–16-Year-Olds: Branson, MO, August 5-16.

Entry into regional tournaments no longer require participation in district and state tournaments. The regionals are now invitational, but require an early commitment. I am reaching out to gauge interest in fielding all-star teams to enter and compete in the tournaments through the World Series (if we advance). If there is enough interest, we will hold early tryouts to establish teams which will hold practices and if desired, enter outside tournaments to prep for the regionals.

The regular season has begun, and the schedule is now available on the website.  Limited interleague play against teams from Hamilton-Northern Burlington Babe Ruth has been added this season.

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to act as Executive Board members.  To offer your services, please call Dan DeRose at 609-841-8373.

We are currently looking for responsible students age 16 or older to run the scoreboard at our league games.  We will train if necessary, and pay a $25 stipend per game.  If you or someone you know may be interested, please call Dan DeRose at (609) 841-5373.

Tues. 6/17 (first round, #1 and #2 Seeds receive byes to Semi-Finals):

            6:00 pm:  IEW Construction (#4 Seed) defeated Haldeman Ford (#5 Seed), 10-6.

            8:15 pm:  Auletta Agency (#3 Seed) defeated MARG Financial (#6 Seed), 15-0. 

Mon. 6/23 (Semi-Finals):

6:00 pm:  Chris' Auto Body (#2 Seed) defeated Auletta Agency, 12-11.

8:15 pm:  Fornaro & Francioso Law (#1 Seed) defeated IEW Construction, 3-2. 

Tues. 6/24:

            7:30 pm:  Championship, Fornaro & Francioso Law 14, Chris' Auto 5.
