IMPORTANT: All Opening Day games have been cancelled

Unfortunately, the forecast does not favor us getting our Opening Day games in at all. Due to the incoming weather, we are going to cancel all games scheduled for tomorrow, 4/26.

Please be sure to check the Kiwanis Baseball website for the season schedules for all teams. Team shirts and hats will be handed out the next game day.

Opening Day is this Saturday, 4/26!!

Opening Day for our 2025 season is this Saturday, 4/26!! We are very excited to see everyone out there playing and having fun! Please see the notes and reminders below regarding our season.

T-Ball/Big Sticks games begin at 9AM and Minors games begin at 10:30AM

The schedule also has the field where the teams will be playing.

Your players' coaches will be handing out the team shirts and hats on Opening Day.

If games are cancelled due to the weather, shirts and hats will be distributed on the next game day

We do not require specific baseball pants, but pants are required by all players (no shorts). If a player has shorts on, they will not be able to play until they have the proper attire on.

Cleats are not required, but recommended. No worries if you do not have them.

Please consider helping out the team coach where needed throughout the season.

We will need parent volunteers to help in the snack shack this year. Coaches have been advised to provide a parent volunteer when it is their teams turn for snack shack duty. If you are the volunteer for your team, just head over to the snack shack. Our hope is to have a student volunteer on game days, but sometimes that doesn't work out.

If there are no volunteers, the snack shack will be closed

Before the season starts, please like "New Scotland Kiwanis" on Facebook. We will post information there, send emails, and also post to our website homepage for any schedule changes/cancellations.

General Season Information

Players should bring their own hydration supplies with them to the games.
Be sure to follow any rules posted by VES for playground usage (before, during, and after the games).
- Playground usage is NOT PERMITTED until after 6PM as per the rules posted on site
Picture Day will be Saturday, 5/3. There will be a make-up Picture Day on Saturday, 5/10.
If conditions allow, we will be having an end of the year picnic on Saturday, 6/14.

Information about Games

Practices can begin starting Monday, 4/7. This is if the school allows, field conditions are adequate, teams are created, and equipment has been distributed.
Opening Day will be Saturday, 4/26. Games will be played on Opening Day. As long as the order is ready, all players and coaches will receive their team shirts/hats.
All games are played at Voorheesville Elementary School with the exception of Minors Division games.
Before the season starts, please head to our website and review the various documents linked on the homepage. We have the parents/coaches code of conduct and the rules for each division available for you to read through.
T-Ball games will be played on Mondays at 6PM and Saturdays at 9AM.
Big Sticks games may be played on Mondays or Wednesdays at 6PM and Saturdays at 9AM or 10:30AM.

Please note that the uncertainty is due to field availability and size of the division. We are unable to finalize a day/time until registration has ended.
Last year, our Big Sticks Division played on Wednesdays at 6PM and Saturdays at 10:30AM.

Minors Division games will be played on Wednesdays at 6PM and Saturdays at 10:30AM. Additional Minors details are below:

We are hoping to have 4 Minors teams this year!
Minors games are held at Swift Road Town park and/or the VES fields. Most will be held at the Swift Road Town Park. Schedules will be posted on our website as soon as possible.
Catchers equipment will be used this year if there are enough players. If not, a coach can catch.
Kids can pitch mid-way through the season for 1/2 a game or as agreed to between coaches.
Strikes are called and outs are counted.
