Winter:
· Winter training will start on Tuesday 12/1 and run though Sunday 2/21.
· Our team will meet 3 days a week, 1 day for Speed and Agility and 2 for full indoor practices.
· Speed and agility will be held at Super Fit gym 8600 E Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH
o Tuesday nights 7-8pm
§ 8 weeks long
§ 12-1 though 2/19
o We have two personal trainers dedicated to our team for a full hour.
o The boys should come ready for a workout, no baseball gear needed.
· Indoor practices will be held the Clubhouse, in Newark
o Thursdays, 6-8
o Sundays, 3-5
o Practices will run though 2/21
o We will not practice 12/24 & 12/31
· We know the boys are playing other sports and there may be scheduling conflicts, we understand and support playing other sports in the off season. We do expect the boys to make all practices when they are not actively participating with their winter team.
Spring:
· We will not play an “early spring” season as a team, allowing our boys that are of age to play with their school.
· Our boys will start to practice / play games as a team mid to end of May, we will communicate the date as soon as it can be identified
· Our first scheduled tournament is the Worthington Wood Bat, June 17-21
o We will play as a 14u team as most of the boys will be used to 60, 90 from School ball and they do not offer 13u in this tournament
There is a good chance we will play in a tournament prior to the wood bat
· General schedule plan
o Start mid-may and run though the end of July
§ We’ll break for a few weeks then jump into a more aggressive Fall tournament schedule
o Spring games / practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as weekends
o We will play close to 20 non-tournament games
o We will play in 6-8 tournaments, this will be based on the cost of the tournaments we enter vs. the budget we have for tournaments. Some of the bigger PG tourney’s cost $1000 vs. a typical USSSA at $600
§ Plan to travel for 3-4 of the tournaments
§ The balance will be within a day drive

Findlay Tournament
The Tournament is being managed though the Tourney Machine App. If you have the app, search
They have not posted the schedule yet. Once they do we will send out info for our first game. The rest will be on the App.

Coaches, please make sure your parents have masks with them and ready to wear, as this was enforced at our last event.
Ohio Hitmen has a Wilson Team Store set up for everyone to use.
The store has everything from spirit-wear to bats and other gear.
Spirit-wear is all nice name brands but it is a little expensive. There's some cheaper options too. Good prices on equipment.

- Fill out requested info
- Once submitted you will be taken to a page that says "create a shop" or enter a code from your leader
- Choose, enter a code.

- Then it will direct you to the store
- You may see a deadline for orders, if you're not ready to order, no worries there will be other orders
Schedule Updates:
- Battle of the 614 @ Berliner canceled this weekend (9/19 & 20) due to the Ohio Covid restrictions
- We attempted to pull together a few teams to play both Sat and Sun but were unable to make the schedule work
- We are going to play a doubleheader with Ohio Elite on Sunday
- We are pulling out of the Monster Mash tournament in Sandusky on 10/24 & 25
- Due to the Covid restrictions they were going to have us play a DH on Saturday and a single game on Sunday.. for $700 plus travel, this did not provide a value to anyone. We took a full refund and will use the money for another tournament
- If you made a hotel reservation, no worries! Traveling teams is canceling our rooms, free of any charges. You should get an email today (9/14) confirming. If not, please feel free to reach out to traveling teams or shoot me an email and I can assist
- I have written confirmation from them on this
- The schedule is updated though February
- School Baseball will most likely start in the middle of February so we will wrap it up by then
- We would like to layer in additional speed and agility as well as arm care workouts over the winter
- Once we get a little closer to winter sports, we will send out a survey monkey to see what everyone’s availability looks like
Uniforms:
- Hats are still not in
- We are really hoping to have them prior to this weekends (9/20) game
- Black shirts
- We have black t-shirts for the boys similar to the white ones they have been wearing
- These have the boys names on the back too
- We plan to hand these out on Sunday 9/20
Spirit Wear:
- There is an official spirit wear website set-up for the Hitmen
- Once we get it, we will publish it here
- We do not suggest ordering from the league line up page, that is something that they do on their own, using our uploaded images, we did not set that up
- If there are any parents that like to design, coordinate and mange spirit wear, great! Let us know and we can get you logos
Fee’s:
- If you have not already, please make sure you are paying the Hitmen fee’s as outlined in the original paperwork
- Payments can be made via check or Venmo

Over the next few weeks we will work to update this site with valuable content that will not only keep you informed but also provide direction and resources for the players.
Communication:

Schedule:
- The schedule is updated through the end of October.
- We are playing Double Headers most Sundays, with two 3 team round robin days where we will play 3 games
- In addition we will be playing in 3 tournaments, BrockStrong (Canal) Battle in the 614 (Berliner) & Monster Mash (Cedar Point)

- We are working on the budget now with a goal to share by our 8.18 practice
