Just some reminders for playoffs

1) Lineups- One rule change we made this year is everybody isn't required to be in the lineup, its your choice how many guys you want to bat.

A DH can be used for the pitcher if you choose. If you use a DH 1) notify the other team and umpire at ground rules that you will be using the DH 2) the player being used as the DH CAN NOT PLAY THE FIELD AT ANY TIME DURING THE GAME. Simply put the DH is the DH.

Subsitutions- if you have subs availble to use regular softball rules apply. Players must remain in the same spot in lineup, re entry is allowed. Once a player leaves the lineup a second time they done for the game. Example: John is the 3rd batter, Bill enters for John in the 4th inning, Bill is now the 3rd batter. John comes back into the game in the 5th inning he must enter in the 3rd spot and Bill comes out. In the 6th inning Bill comes back for John, John is now done for the game.

Courtesy Runners- are unlimited, players can only run once per inning. If a runner is being used and his spot in the lineup comes up the runner is out and removed from the bases. If this is the 3rd out of the inning, the scheduled hitter will leadoff the next inning. Example: Joe runs for Mike with 2 outs, Joe's spot in the lineup comes up while he is on 3rd base, that will be the 3rd out and Joe will leadoff the next inning. A player who has been run for can not run for another player in the same ininng he was ran for. 

2) Tiebreakers-  is did you forfeit? After that we will go to head to head, since we play ebverybody 3x this should be the only one we need. It will also be used to break ties if its a 3 way tie. 1) did you forfeit? 2) head to head 3) run differential head to head 4) total season runs allowed. 

3) Eligbility- 6 games played or some type of long term injury that prevented some one from playing. THERE WILL BE ONE EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE--- If there is some sort family issue that has prevented someone from making enough games. There is one case of this that I was made aware of, if it comes up I will dicuss it with the teams involved privately. If you think you may have someone this will effect please let me know and we will figure it out. 

4) Rosters- There are still a couple of teams I need rosters from before playoff games start. Please get these to me sooner rather then later.  Timgallagher0809@gmail.com

1st round = games 1 & 2 will be played 6/30 and 7/1 both nights at Frankford and Eden. Game 3s if needed will be Monday July 6th.  

Semi finals = July 6th start of 1 semi Grey Sox / E House. the other semi will start Wednesday July 8th Crispin / SOP 

Sox/ E House game 2= 7/8 game 3 if needed will be 7/13 @ Von Hoffman, if rain on 7/13 game will be moved back to 7/14

Crispin/ SOP= game 1- 7/8, game 2 7/13 @ Frankford and Eden, if this is the only game it will be at Von Hoffman, game 3 7/15 field is TBD. If we get rain the game will be moved back to the next day. 

Finals = will start July 15th. Game 2 will be July 20th, game 3 will be July 22nd. Any weather issues will move these game to the next day.
