Passion'03 - USSSA Elite Select 16U Champs (7 - 0 for the weekend)

June 10, 2019

May 30, 2019

Avonworth High School won the first WPIAL Softball Championship (3A) in school history riding the outstanding performances of Passion 17U juniors Dominique Raught, Natalie Marshall, and sophomore Leah Logan.  In the championship game the girls combined to go 8-12 with Domi going 4-4 from the leadoff position, Nat going 2-4 with an RBI, and Leah recording an RBI single and a 2 run HR while going 2-4.  Nat turned a spectacular double play in the 2nd inning of the championship game to eliminate a scoring threat and Domi played her usual flawless defense at SS.  During the playoff run, the girls played outstanding defense with Domi and Nat (2B) combining for numerous double plays while Leah stood strong behind the plate.

The girls will look to continue their HS success in the PIAA State Playoffs on Monday June 3rd.
