FALL 2024 TUESDAY MEN'S SOFTBALL - NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS

NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS - TUESDAY, JANUARY 21ST
The Fall season concluded on a wet and foggy night with six champions crowned in the ultra-balanced Tuesday Men's Softball league.

A DIVISION - (2) PDS
PDS finally captured their first divisional championship by pulling away from top seed A100 Glass and winning the top division title 23-11. For PDS the third appearance in the championship game was the charm and they used their high scoring offense to take the title, scoring 42 runs in the two playoff games. PDS was facing a team with more championship game experience than any other franchise. A100 Glass has advanced to the title game in all 8 seasons they have played.
B DIVISION - (4) BLOODLINES
The second division saw the Bloodlines go from needing a victory over the Caimans in the regular seasons final game, to ending up in an unbreakable tie for 4th place and having to win a play-in game against their frenemy Basic Dollar Auto Sales just to get in, and then routing all three opponents to secure their first division championship as well. The 17-10 win over long time rival Caimans completed a dominant late season run to the title.
C DIVISION - (1) SPARTANS
The Spartans were the only second time champion among the six title winners. The up and down franchise added the Fall 24 crown to the Winter/Spring 24 title they previously won. In a defensive contest through dense fog for most of the game, the Spartans were able to use the home team advantage and maintain the lead all the way through the 7th inning. Aroma 809, in their first title game, scored two runs in the top of the 7th and had the tying run on 3rd base, but the Spartans held on and an easy flyball to left-field with two outs gave them an 8-7 championship win.
D DIVISION - (4) BALLS DEEP
A team that has taken one step forward every season, Balls Deep missed the playoffs in their first season (Fall 23), and has entered the playoffs as the 4th seed in the last three seasons. In Spring 24 they were eliminated in the semis in a one run comeback by Chief's Cookies and in Summer 24 they advanced to the finals after a rain suspended game and lost 9-7 to Dugout Demons. This season they came back against Chief's Cookies and won the semi-final game in extra innings and they finally got the elusive division title with a 16-8 win over Blue Ballers
E DIVISION - (2) THE TOWN
Down two runs in the bottom of the 7th inning, The Town strung together a series of line drive hits to rally for three runs and win the title over Sons of Freedom, 13-12. After not playing during the Summer season, The Town rebounded from a subpar 4-6 Spring season where they were eliminated by mercy rule in the playoffs to finish 1/2 game out of first. A 13-0 rout in the semi-finals set up the finals against the 4th seed and it was the home team advantage that The Town needed and took full advantage of.
F DIVISION - (1) ALL STARS
The revamped Storm Troopers put together the best overall season of the 36 teams in the Tuesday night league. The only team that was not defeated during the Fall 2024 season, they capped an 11-0-1 season by outslugging the resurgent Brew Jays 18-14 and ended the season with a spectacular double play turned by the 3rd baseman who stepped on third for the first out and fired to home to record the game ending out.

FALL 2024 CHAMPIONS - THURSDAY MEN'S LOWER DIVISION

ILL INTENTIONS

The fourth seed magic on Thursday nights continued. Ill Intentions became the third (of three) last playoff qualifier to rally for the division championship. After being one out away from not even making the playoffs at all in the final regular season game against Anglibros, they upset the top seeded Mad Cubans (9-1 coming in) and then blew open the title game against Broad Street Bullies. After scoring five runs in the top of the 1st inning, Ill Intentions trailed 7-6 entering the 4th inning. They turned that into a 9-7 lead after five complete and then scored 13 runs in the top of the 6th to blow the game wide open, winning the title for a team that started as the TSF Free Agents only two seasons prior.

FALL 2024 CHAMPIONS - THURSDAY MEN'S UPPER DIVISION

The fourth seed makes good in their fourth try. The A 100 Glass franchise has reached the championship game on Thursday nights in the highest division for four consecutive seasons. It took a near miracle comeback from down 16-2 after three innings in the semi-finals against X-Men Legends to pull out a 21-20 victory and then A 100 Glass came from behind again against their arch rivals, the two-time Defending Champion Amigos (who defeated A 100 in the Spring & Summer league finals), turning a 6-2 deficit into a 20-6 lead before closing out the game 20-13 and capturing the second championship in franchise history (Fall 2023 Tuesday Men's B division as Dee'z Nuts).

FALL 2024 CHAMPIONS - MONDAY NIGHT CO-ED

T&S goes back to back on Monday nights.

The regular season division champions rolled through the double elimination playoffs to add the Fall league title to the Summer season championship. T&S defeated a surprising Sonic Sluggers team that became the first team to ever win three playoff games in one night the week before.
