Welcome to the Home of the

Pleasureville Youth Club (PYC)

ABOUT PYC: The Pleasureville Youth Club is a independent, non-profit, volunteer organization providing sport programs for all youth ages 5 through 18. Our primary base of Club members reside in Manchester Township, Springettsbury Township, North York Boro & surrounding communities.
Our home Baseball, T-Ball & Girls Softball fields are at the Greg A. Crist Memorial Park between Pleasureville and Emigsville, north of York, PA.

Our priorities are participation, development, and FUN for all players. PYC relies on volunteers for staffing and registration fees, fund raisers, concessions, and donations to cover all expenses.

We encourage you, the parents, to volunteer with coaching, field maintenance, etc. The more good people we get on board, the merrier! ***Coaches are required to possess a criminal background check/child abuse clearance*** Thank you.

2018-2019 Basketball Registration is NOW OPEN!

Welcome Back PYC Basketball Families! We are excited to get the 2018-2019 season started. Registration is now open through September 29th. In order to ensure your son or daughter has an opportunity to play please make sure you register your child prior to September 29th. Late registrations will only be accepted if certain age groups are in need of additional players to round out teams.   Assessments will be held the week of Oct 1st.   Final dates and times will be posted.

Below is a brief description of the programs we offer

K-2 (8 foot) -- Our 8' rim program is a COED beginner basketball skills academy. Players will learn the basics of game play, teamwork and sportsmanship.  Practices and scrimmages are held in a friendlier environment on smaller courts and basketball rims set at 8 foot high vs. the standard 10'. All practices and scrimmages will be held at Stony Brook Elementary gym. Opponents will include other PYC teams of the same skill level.  The season begins October and concludes in December.  This program is meant to teach the basics and introduce younger players to the sport.

K-2(10 foot) -- Our 10' rim program is basketballers who maybe have a little understanding of the game, can dribble and can make the ball to the rim set at 10'. This program is a good fit to players that have basketball experience.  The division is COED, plays in the York County Basketball Athletic Association (YCBAA) league and is officiated by real referees. Games and practices will be held at North Hills Elementary or Central York Middle School. Opponents can include other PYC teams as well as K-2 teams from other organizations within the league.

Grades 3rd through 12th --. These divisions are separated into a boys and girls division and senior and junior.  Players will be assigned to teams to their ability level.  There will be two 1 hour practices during the week and games starting in December and continuing through the end of February.  Games can be scheduled during the week and on weekends.  The schedule for these games will be set in early December.

As a reminder, we can unable to guarantee placement on a certain team or with a certain coach. Our goal is to place each player on a team where they can develop their skills and have fun. Skills assessments will be completed to determine team placements at all age groups grade three and above. If a player was on an “A” or senior level team last year, they are not guaranteed to be placed at the same level this year. New evaluations and team placements are completed each year.

All parents are required to sign a code of conduct form. Expectations on appropriate conduct for both players and coaches will be reviewed during evaluations and strictly enforced.
