  • Thanks fans for all the support this summer!!!

The Haugen Hornets split a pair of games in the Indy League tourney in Spooner last weekend to complete their 2019 season.

The Hornets won a thriller on Friday night 5-4 over the Tony Hayshakers, as Isaac Rohde ended the game with a perfect throw to the plate to cut down the potential tying run trying to tag up and score on fly ball to left field.

The Hayward Hawks ended the Hornets season with a 7-3 victory in the semi-finals of the tourney.  Hayward jumped out to a 7-0 lead after three innings, before the Hornets cut into the deficit on a two-run double by Joe Kroeger and an RBI double by Matt Juza.

The Hornets want to thank all their fans for the wonderful support all season both at home and on the road.  Can't wait to see you next year at the Haugen Ballpark!

Good luck to Isaac Rohde and Nolan Rowe, who have been drafted to play in the WBA playoffs by Spooner and Brill resectively.
