Summer Collegiate Hockey League

The SCHL is a draft league.  All players are drafted on a team through a league management draft. The SCHL runs 10 games throughout the months of June-August.  Two games a week; typically, one on Tuesday evening, one on Thursday evening throughout the months of June-July.  The league is open to players 17 and up.  The league is a fast pace, full check, regular hockey game.  The SCHL is designed to keep and/or get College/Jr and future College/Jr. players skating at a strong pace to prepare for tryouts and camps in August. Each player will receive a game jersey and socks.  Numerous awards are given out at the end of each SCHL season. 

The Game:  20 min run time periods, 5 men shoot out and the end of each game regardless of the score.  

Rink:  All games are anticipated to be played at the West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows.  

High School Players - The league is open to players 17 and up. High School players 17 years old and up are eligible to play.  For any age up waivers or special requests, please contact Mike Tompkins at schlchicago0@gmail.com

Fees:  Players $425.00 and Goalies $375.00

Season:  The Season will run from June 24th - July 31st (NO GAME JULY 1st OR JULY 3rd); consisting of 10 games; two games per week.

League Draft:  THE DRAFT TAKES PLACE ON JUNE 13th.  The draft is for league officials only; players cannot attend.  The registration form will act as the player's resume for the league officials/coaches.  Put as much info about yourself as possible on the registration form.  These forms will be used for team selection.

 IMPORTANT registration tip - Your registration is your "Hockey Resume."  This registration/resume will he used for the draft.  The league can accommodate family carpool situations with a pre-approval from Mike or Sue Tompkins.  Email schlchicago0@gmail.com for any issues.
