In person registration will take place at RE/MAX by the Lake, 805 Van Brunt Ave., St. Joseph on Wednesday, January 30th  from 4:00-8:00 PM. (Behind Dr. Flood's Vision Center.)

We will be hosting our next board meeting in conjunction with our annual meeting next Wednesday, September 19.  The meeting will be at 6:00pm at RE/MAX by the Lake, 449 Upton Drive in St. Joseph.  This is in the Edgewater Business Center.  All SJBA families are welcome to attend.  If you have any interest in joining the board or becoming more involved with SJBA, please stop by.

        Sunday ● April 29, 2018        11:00 AM – 3:00 PM ● Wells Field

              Come Eat at the Ball Fields!                                                                                                                                                                We will have hot dogs and walking tacos for sale in the Majors Field concession stand starting at 11:30.

             Want to throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch?  Raffle Tickets will be sold for $1 each with all                         funds going to SJBA.  Tickets will be sold at the sign in table and concession stand from 11:30.                   The winning ticket will be chosen during the Opening Ceremony and the winning child will be                       called up to throw the first pitch.  Please write your name on the back of the tickets you purchase.

            11:00am - 11:30pm: Signup for Events & Food Service Begins!                                                  Sign Up 11:00–11:30 at the tables beyond the Majors outfield fence.  Participation is not mandatory, but encouraged.                      It’s a lot of fun!

           11:30am – 1:00pm: Competition Events

           Competition Events Details:                                                                                                                              The Top 3 per division in each event will receive an award after the National Anthem.                                                                         Running-around the bases for speed.  Hitting-scored 5 swings off machine.  Throwing-for distance.

Dairy Queen is located at 2901 Niles Avenue in St. Joseph.  

DQ will be donating 20% of proceeds during our sign ups back to SJBA.

Boys and girls ages 4-14, born between 4/30/03 and 5/1/14, are eligible to play in our leagues.

Meet the Team/Spaghetti Fundraiser night at SJHS will take place on Wednesday, March 21.

Many of us have fond memories of playing ourselves or just watching the neighborhood kids play ball here over the past 60+ years.  Wells Field has been a source of pride for the city for decades. 

Wells has seen some wear and tear and is now in need of some love and rejuvenation!  SJBA would appreciate any time, materials or cash donations that can be put towards this venture.  Wells belongs to all of us, not just SJBA.  Come whenever you can with whomever you can.  Bring gloves, trash bags, rakes, branch trimmers, shovels, buckets, wheelbarrows, ladders, scrapers, paint brushes, rollers, friends, family, neighbors, kids, etc. Of special need are the time and talents of electrical and roofing contractors for two large projects on site.

SJBA Families, we are again offering a Fall Baseball opportunity for our SJBA players and we are looking for those interested to register here on our website by AUGUST 20th. Once we see what our numbers are by age, we will decide exactly how we will group our kids, total number of teams, and what age levels we will offer.

Our older players will again be playing in a live pitch league in Coloma. Games will be every Sunday beginning September 10th and continuing for five weeks on Sundays only (this could extend a 6th week if a rain out occurs). There will be two divisions.  Pony and Major.  We encourage our players ranging in age from 9-14 to consider one of these groups.

For any of our younger players who have already played with SJBA, we are looking at creating a fundamental, clinic style program that will also meet for five Sundays beginning September 10th. This group will be at Wells Field in St Joe. This group may include some scrimmages as well - but will mainly be designed as another fun opportunity to get out on the field and improve skills and love of baseball. 

Cost will be $35 per player. Registration will occur here on our website only.
