2018 Clinic Season -- Thank You!!

Our season has come to an end, but the SNJBL and the Clinic Coaches want to extend a big THANK YOU to all of our participants, volunteers, and parents! We hope that all of our players had a great experience building their baseball skills and had fun along the way.

We appreciate your support and participation in our program and hope for more of the same in the years to come!

Enjoy your summer -- but before you do, click <HERE> to check out our photo gallery containing some fun shots from the final sessions!

2018 Season Notes

"A" and "AA" Leagues:

The schedule for Sunday sessions has been provided by the Clinic Directors.

Please arrive at the field at least 5 minutes prior to the start time.

If you have not picked up your uniform, please find a coach on the field and they can help you.

We need volunteers to work the Snack Shack during the Sunday sessions.  Please email springfieldjrbaseballleague@gmail.com to let us know when you can work the Shack!

"AAA" League:

The updated schedules are listed in the "Schedules" link.

Coaches, if you have a game conflict, work with the opposing coach to reschedule (typically during your scheduled practice time)

We are striving for consistent game play each week - See the "Rules" link for information.

Reminder:  When playing at Roessner Field, EACH TEAM is responsible for scheduling one adult to work the Snack Shack.  We have one parent from each team so you can take turns stepping out to watch your child bat or pitch. Proceeds from the Snack Shack, and other fund-raising events, allow the SNJBL to keep our equipment up to date while keeping our registration fees low.

Minor League:

Updated schedules and standings can be found via the "Major & Minor Standings" Link.

Coaches, if you have a game conflict, please contact Mike Zarember.

Reminder:  When playing at Roessner Field, the HOME TEAM is responsible for scheduling two adults to work the Snack Shack.  Proceeds from the Snack Shack, and other fund-raising events, allow the SNJBL to keep our equipment up to date while keeping our registration fees low.

Major League:

Updated schedules and standing can be found via the "Major & Minor Standings" Link.

Please direct any questions to your coach who can in turn reach out to the appropriate league director if required.

If needed, you can contact the SNJBL directly via email (springfieldjrbaseballleague@gmail.com)

PLAY BALL!

2018 Bat Rule Changes

On January 1, 2018 USA Baseball will be implementing a rule change to the bats. If you are 14 years old or younger and play Little League®, Babe Ruth & Cal Ripken, PONY, Dixie or AABC, you will need to use a new bat marked with a new USA Baseball stamp.

The bats currently on the market, which are marked with a 1.15BPF stamp, will no longer be legal for play in these leagues.  Additionally, beginning on January 1, 2018, under the new USA Baseball rule, all players 14 and under (not including Tee-Ball) will be able to use approved USA Baseball 2-5/8" barrels in Little League®, Babe Ruth & Cal Ripken, PONY, Dixie and AABC.

How will I know which bat to buy?

All new bats that bear the USABat licensing mark will be permissible for play in the leagues and tournaments of the participating youth baseball organizations.

When can I buy the new bat?

It is the intention of the bat manufacturers to make the new bats available in the fall of 2017, in sufficient time for the 2018 season.

Later this year, the SNJBL is planning to host a bat show where you'll be able to purchase a new certified bat at a discounted price.  Check our website regularly for details.
