The link for fall sports registrations can be found at the UPPER right of this page. The registration process requires you to create a LeagueLineup account. the payment still needs to be sent into school.
Please review the Sudden Cardiac Death in Young Athletes Pamphlet, the Sports-Related Concussion and Head Injury Fact Sheet, and the Code of Conduct and Contract with your child prior to registering. All documents including a registration checklist can be found in the Handouts section ABOVE. Updated physicals are required for athletes in grades 6 through 8 before they can participate in practices or games.
Cross Country is coed and is open to students in Grades 3 and 4 (Cadets), Grades 5 and 6 (Juniors), and Grades 7 and 8 (Seniors). During the meets, athletes run a 1.55 mile trail course. For this reason, this sport is NOT recommended for younger athletes unless they have previous experience in running longer distances. The meets are held on Saturday mornings in the fall at various parks in Gloucester and Camden Counties. Practices are held during the week (yet to be determined). The season runs through the first week of November.
Soccer is coed and is open to students in Grades 4 and 5 (Junior Varsity) and in Grades 6, 7, and 8 (Varsity). Home games are played at the Glassboro fields (either New Street Park or South Delsea Drive Park). Practices and games are held during the week (yet to be determined). Games usually start at 4:00pm. The GCCAL soccer season runs until the first week of November.
Cheerleading is open to girls in Grades 2, 3, and 4 (Junior Varsity) and in Grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 (Varsity). The girls cheer at home basketball games throughout the season and compete in cheer competitions at various locations in the early spring. Practices are after school (yet to be determined). The GCCAL cheerleading season runs through March.
Little Warriors Soccer is open to students in Pre-K through Grade 3. The children stay on site at the St. Michaels soccer field to run drills and to play intramural games. Practice sessions are on Saturday mornings at 9:00 and run through the first week of November.
MANDATORY SPORTS PHYSICALS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETES
MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENTS - Please REMEMBER to schedule your child’s sports physical for the 2017-2018 school year ! ! ! This is a State of New Jersey requirement ! ! !
All Middle School athletes are REQUIRED to have a physical once a year which must be dated within 365 days of the first official day of practice. The Preparticipation Physical Evaluation (PPE) may ONLY be completed by a licensed physician, advanced practice nurse (APN), or physician assistant (PA) that has completed the Student-Athlete Cardiac Assessment professional development module. It is recommended that you verify that your medical provider has completed this module before scheduling an appointment for a PPE.
Physical Evaluation and History Forms MUST BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED prior to participating in a sport (including practice). Sports physical and history forms may be found on the left under Handouts.
Every athlete needs a Health History Update EVERY SEASON. History Forms must be dated within 90 days of the first day of practice and completed every season.
