Thank You!!!!
On behalf of Dan and I; we would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the parents for your cooperation, support, and trust in allowing us to coach your boys this season. We are both very passionate about the game of basketball, and watching your kids develop fundamentally on and off the court as a team has been very rewarding. When played the right way and taught correctly, there is no better sport than Basketball. A majority of the friendships I carry with me till this day are because of sports. Basketball especially, forces you to function as a team, lift each other up, and work together to achieve goals. We challenged the boys physically and mentally, and they passed with flying colors. At the end of the day, we came up just short on our ultimate goal, but that does not take away from all that the boys accomplished. They developed as players, but more importantly, teammates and young men. This was the most well behaved, attentive, and willing to learn group of kids I have ever been involved with, and that is a direct result of parenting. With all of their accomplishments this season, what I am most proud of is the camaraderie within the group. They worked hard, had each others backs, were polite and considerate of one another, and developed bonds that will last a lifetime. That is what being a Southeast Pirate is all about. As a former player, coach, and most importantly, parent; that means more than any wins and losses ever will.
So we bid farewell to third grade basketball. We look forward to the opportunity to continue to develop these boys in the future and thank you all for your unconditional support. Without your commitment, none of this would be possible.
Thanks
Joe
